One thing I'm extremely confident about - Brown won't come here to play centre. If he was going to sign for Wigan, I think he'd want a guaranteed halfback spot.

He's a sort-of Sintelliner. He grew up in Haydock near where I live. Personally I think he's very similar in style to Sam Tomkins so it would be interesting to see how they would develop as a partnership should he come back and play in the halves. I always think he's wasted when he's playing at centre, as well as a bit of a defensive liability at times. Not sure what would happen to Leuluai either should Brown make the switch back. I think we've missed Tommy this season when he's been injured

No, Kev Brown has always supported Wigan, he used to watch them at Central Park when he was kid.
I'm sure Yicker will confirm it. icon_wink.gif

He is a Wigan fan. He was a friend of one of Girlfriends friends from Haydock.

He is also apparently a c*cky git haha but you need that in Rugby most of the time so who cares.

Hopefully this indicates that his brother-in-law will be playing alongside him next (mid) season.

I would have Tommy L any day over Brown.

He is not what we need right now and although he has been very good at Hudds this year i would have no interest in having him back here.

Tommy is slowly but surely becoming a better organiser evrey week. He does a massive job for us TL and we miss him when he aint in the team.

I would see him coming in at centre in place of George Carmont.

I can't really see us getting rid of either Sam or Tommy to accommodate him, so a centre who can happily cover half-back might be just the thing.

Especially seeing as Deacon is showing that he is highly susceptible to injury these days.

Irrelevant whether he is a Wigan supporter or not. Sean Long was a Wigan fan so what? He is currently the eye-catching player at Huddersfield and he could be lined up as Carmont's replacement. Bring him back.

Don't need him, as much as having a good team is about having good players it's also about selecting the right one's to gel together and form a competent team under the hefty restraints of a salary cap. If are problems are a poor kicking game and lack of organization in halves, the latter one being something I personally don't agree with, Brown won't solve either of those problems. He's a 6 the same as Sam just not as good.

Secondly I'm a believer in once a player has left a club he shouldn't return, of course there are exceptions to this but for me Brown doesn't fall into that category. I'd much rather have Finch even though I wouldn't be over excited by his signature, but he at least fits the bill of an experienced scrum-half that so many on here feel we need.

I'm personally very content with are halfback partnership, so much in fact that I only have two gripes with it. First are kicking game overall is poor, although Sam's getting better he's still a way to go, where as Tommy has a decent kicking but only over medium to short distances. My only other gripe is with Tommy, firstly he suffers from inconsistency, in some games he can be superb controlling everything and close to the line he's lethal, however he doesn't do enough of it. Improve Tommy's consistency as well as both their kicking games and I'm more than happy with who we've got at 6 and 7.

Of course there are exceptions and some individual players I would love to bring in purely because of how good they are, but if I'm honest neither Brown nor Finch fall into this category.

He's a Yicker isn't he? Not Sintellinser...

Anyways... I'd be 50-50 on this. He's had a few decent games yes, but I've not seen too many where he's particularly stood out.

I wouldn't want to replace Sam or Tommy in the halves.
