| Quote: AJ "Was a gamble that shouldnt be tried again, but it saved a huge rejig. Hopefully Flanagan will get a look in next week.
Sam was sensational tonight, yes at times he tried to win it on his own, but at times he was given little support from the rest of em.'"
I agree I thought Sam was easily our best player. MoM went to Richards but I thought Sam easily deserved it. His kicking game was spot on again and he was always trying something. I think Richards got MoM for his tries and also in sympathy at another off day with the goal kicking. He really needs to work on this as it is going to cost us a game soon.
Quote: AJ "Roberts and Goulding linked up quite well a couple of times I thought.
Mossop was solid but Coley was immense'"
Coley did have a good game and took it to the Les Cats pack. I's like to see Mossp have a go in the 2nd row. I think he would be pretty awesome there ad while one day he may end up at prop I think 2nd row now suit him better.

| If we have the same players available next week, I believe there are 2 realistic options:
Ainscough off the bench for Richards, Richards to 1, Phelps to 9.
Flanagan for Piggy, at either 6 or 9. Never een him play 9 but I believe he may do a job there. Have seen him at 6 and feel that while he's not a long term 6, he could hold his own.
If Gleeson is back, I'd expect Goulding to come off the bench at 3 with Gleeson going to 6.

Richards is not a full back. He "does a job" there but that's about it.
Phelps is a much better option at full back.
It's simple imo.
Tomkins 6, Lulu 7 Riddell 9
End of.

Hard to give it when no forwards are running off you. Well done to Hansen for sticking his hand up a few times and taking the hit for sam. I thought Prescot went missing at times tonight. Coley started for me to but raised his game later on.

| Hopefully Gleeson will be back next week, and i'd go with:
Phelps
Roberts
Gleeson
Carmont
Richards
Sam
Leuluai
Coley
Riddell
Prescott
Hansen
Bailey
Joel
Feka
Mossop
Goulding
Fielden
Goulding to come on at when Piggy goes off and Gleeson to halves Tommy to 9.

He didn't look that comfortable there tonight. Made a mess of the first bomb they put up.
We have to come up with a team selection that doesn't involve re-jogging the entire back line when Riddell goes off and he will go off so we need something sensible from Noble here.

Flanagan to 9 from bench seems most logical.

I'm on about when Riddell goes off. I thought that would have been prett obvious.

| I personally would keep the same team as last night, however in the place of Pryce I would put Flanagan, so that I can bring him on at 9 when piggy goes off. I wouldnt tamper with putting Leuluai at 9 I'd keep it nice and simple with him at 7 and Sam at 6. As for Richards I wouldn't even contemplate putting him at FB, leave Phelps there he's far more suited to it plus he's far more dangerous on kick returns that Pat.

I know, but as Dave O said, we need stability in our backs so they can get used to working together.
Personally I would have Lulu as a 9 anyway but given our squad and given our injuries he has to play 7.

He did, and he was outstanding in defence too.

If ever we need to get a player out on loan it;s Pryce. At 6 in the 2nd half he received the ball three times when we were 10m out and just looked clueless as to what to do. He didn't even try and have a go at the line and use his weight. OK the passes caught him stood still as were most of his team mates but the contrast between him and Tomkins who was lively throughout was stark.
Dave'"
was i p!ssed ? i thought mossop started, with coley in 2nd row??
first subs i noticed were prescott/mossop off.........fielden/feka on.
ans what the point of using a substitution by taking feka off with about a minute left to half time?
its summat nobby does regular....he seems to sub to the clock, and not the game.
edited..your right.he was off bench...for hansen i think

He came on for Feca, just before the end of the first half.
