| It’s a bold move but I’m glad he’s gone with Rocky. All the Bowen hate is ridiculous because he’s not been that bad but Rocky is a lot more dangerous in attack. Unless he starts dropping real clangers like he did in the friendlies I’d keep him in now. He’s only once played two games in a row at FB (2013), he needs to be given a proper run of games there to see whether he will be good enough to take the 1 shirt next season.

| Still not convinced Williams at 6 with Logan on the bench is the answer, but happy to see Rocky get another shot. I'd actually be tempted to go big on the bench and leave McIlorum on for 80 mins.

I hope not, although he's a very good attacker at centre Joel Tomkins is too easily left flat-footed when defending IMO, plus we could do with him in the pack size-wise. It's a good plan B though if Rocky starts struggling (I assume they'll target him)

I suspect Rocky is a bit like Gelling being a bit fragile in the confidence stakes & needs an ego stroke every now & again. Which this might well do. Glad to see both of them in the squad (with Crosby back too - big lump, should be difficult to handle).
However, Bowen needs to buck his ideas up, he's been nigh-on stationary for chunks of the last few games. Wouldn't be sorry to see him go early. Don't [ihate[/i the lad, I just think he's not got the wattage any more.

| Big chance for Hampshire to really nail the spot. I'm not convinced he's a full back but come up with a couple of big plays in a Good Friday Derby and you're well on your way.
C Farrell and Sutton to sit it out for me (with both playing on Easter Monday).

That just about tips the game in your favour.

| Well agree with that , everyone needs to earn their place in the team, MB's form has not been good , he's not the only one , hope he can fight for his place back on the dry tracks and show us some form , in the meantime big chance for Rocky.

| It won't happen but I'd leave out Crosby and Patrick. Crosby has been poor for a while now IMO. He had some great games against top opposition in 2013 but has struggled since then IMO. I think Sutton has looked the better of the two so far this season, my man of the match v Widnes and Huddersfield in fact.
Patrick currently offers almost nothing in attack, and doesn't really make enough tackles to make up for that. Connor Farrell is inexperienced but he seems to make a good number of breaks and has already scored a few tries for us in his limited number of first team outings, don't recall him doing anything wrong defensively either.

In a strange way due to the intensity and pressure of the Derby I would keep Patrick in. He's been poor and offered next to nothing but in a tight game which will be aggressive, gaps will eventually open up and he could catch a Masoe or Walmsley flat footed around the middle with his footwork and pace.
He could change people's opinions of him on Friday but it'd be his last game for a while if he doesn't make a mark.

Disagree. His fitness in previous games has been really poor and has been at fault for a few tries when defence should be his strongest aspect (especially as he offers zero with the ball). He's shown nothing that suggests he's about to have a good game, never mind against the champions. How low must Wane think of Greenwood/C.Farrell that he continues to pick Patrick infront of them?

| Hampshire is a typical Wane selection.
He has convinced himself Hampshire can do it based on his performance against a very poor Wakey side who put him under no pressure and, IMO, due to his faith in young players is ignoring past performances of the young player (not that great at FB).
He's done it before and its gone "t its" up against good teams.
So this is one interesting selection!
