He's behind Taylor, Flower, Pettybourne, Clubb and Crosby at the moment and I suspect, even after one outing, Sutton too. That said, the Easter period has shown how squad depth is an important factor. He's going to get a few games this season without a doubt and if he can show his worth in those, then why not?

| Wane has managed the balance between the young lads and older lads very well, if he thinks having James around for another season will help develop the young players then I won't argue. If he's there to step in when needed and bring experience that's fine with me.

| He's a solid squad player and I think his worth to the side has really come to the fore in recent weeks. We going through a little bit of an injury crisis (nothing overly serious) and being able to call on a veteran performer like James can only be good for us.
If he doesn't carry on next year I'd be happy if we replaced him with another aging 5/6 choice prop.
It just makes sense for me

| I thought he was awful at Saints tbh. In that period in the first half where Saints were breaking our line at will he looked like a old man that couldn't live with the pace.
He along with Dudson aren't first team standard tbh. I can fully understand why we looked at James for this year but I can't for the life of me think why we'd bother for next year. He came as a bloke that wants to cut out a coaching career and he looks fully ready for that career to me.
I feel harsh saying all that but I feel its true to be fair.

| Well Wane has seen something he likes and with his track record that will do for me.

He was always going to struggle against a decent Saints pack but there's other teams that we will play that he'll be useful to select for.
Now I'm not saying that if he was in the frame for a playoff or GF game I'd be over the moon because I wouldn't be. He's arguably our 6th choice forward and on weekends such as this or games vs Bradford he's more than useful.

| Next season he could also be behind Greenwood. He will have then played a full season of Super League with London and will be a good addition to the props we have.
I make it James could be eighth choice prop, unless someone leaves at the end of this season.

| It says in the paper that Flower is considering a move to Australia just like Mossop did that would be another great loss and Green could be going back as well.

My concern is that he's moved up the pecking order somehow and now looks to be 4th choice prop. The game last Friday was way too quick for him and that intensity will only go up when the knock out fixtures come round. He is fine as a back up option playing in low intensity fixtures like you mention but I fear Waney is having his judgement a little bit clouded by what a good bloke James is.
Ultimately though I fully back Wane and his decisions though so hopefully James has some more to give.

Our coach gets more right than wrong but he isn't infallible re signings. Look how Lauaki turned out. I'd go with your instincts and stick with your original and above opinion without qualification. No one will shoot you for it. It's a forum

I also think that Wane is a far better coach than I gave him credit for.
He is accomplishing results without any funds.
In fact worse/more than that, he is getting results when year on year we are selling our best players.

| I think he has been generally poor average at best. It shows how poor the league is that we can run with players like him and still be successful.
I understand the argument if having an older head around the team but he still will be regardless if if he is playing or not.
I think it would indicate a failure in our signing strategy if we are unable to attract a more experienced Prop in the off season again and have to rely on him to take that role.

| Like others I see Jordan James as a useful man to have in the squad this season. However I think if we can get somebody lined up with experience but a bit younger and more left in them that should be where we move.
Let Jordan begin the coaching role he initially came for, blood some youngsters as per and bring a new experienced face in to maybe shake things up a little bit in the pack
