Club Wembley seats will account for alot of gaps , especially the ring round the middle. The rest /shrug. People are skint I guess and Wembley normally attracts alot of neutrals

| Expect larger gaps in World Cup matches, when the game is taken away from the heartlands.

| Even though the guy is clearly trolling, it is a worry that the game can only get 78,000 on for the Cup final, especially when the finalists are two of the best-supported teams in the game. The RFL needs to do a lot more to promote the Challenge Cup - try and roll the clock back and reinvigorate interest.
Not a bad day for Wigan though. Nice to see Messrs. Lenagan and Whelan posing for the cameras together at the end, with their respective trophies. Not many other little towns will achieve that. Certainly not in the lifetime of KJI.

| A suggestion? Both Wigan and Hull are normally among the larger contributors of neutral fans when they are not playing in the final. When we are the contenders, the other teams don't fill the gaps as well. I certainly couldn't criticise either club for numbers today, great turn out from both.

Hadn't thought of that but it's a good point. I've never been to a final with so few neutrals, hardly saw any. I think the World Cup will also be a factor, many who normally go down for a Cup Final day out will be going to the WC semi instead I reckon.

| They are hardly stay away fans when they don't attend our games anyway. We probably have a core of 13-14k regular fans. Plus a few thousand that attend occasionally.
Glory hunters are ok I guess, in finals anyway... but I won't lose sleep that not many attended.

Apparently, there were over 78,000 there today.
No, really.

Kim Jong Un.

| Maybe the empty seats were the ones bought by Wire fans who were ultra-confident of turning Hull over...

| I thought Wigan and hull had very decent crowds following them today I'd put the empty seats down to the lack of neutral fans. The least I've ever seen at a final

Brave post, given that there were plenty more on from Hull than there were from Leeds in 2011. I'd be steering clear of all discussions on attendance for a while if I was you. But please, carry on posting negatively, not much else on for you on a Saturday night, I guess...

I am guessing you are a neutral. If so which seat were you in?

How p888ed off are you?
Almost as funny as seeing no Leeds shirts at all for the first time in my long history of watching my team win at \Wembley, something I suspect you have never done.
