| I thought that no one but a Wigan supporter could watch that, it must have been the most tedious CCSF of all time! We proved nothing, and they were just dreadful, but you can’t blame Wigan for that but I bet someone will.

| You would like to think a semi final would be a close affair especially on national tv! It was hard to watch at times I felt sorry for london but you can only praise wigan. I cant say alot after wigan put 84 on usearlier in the season.

| Its not Wigans fault and in a way the team should be pleased by the way they stuck to the task rather than ease off and sink to London's level - that would have been truly awful.
The only problem is that the game will have been seen by an awful lot of "casual" RL supporters, the ones that the sport depends upon, and yes, whether you like it or not the sport depends upon the supporter who only goes to a handful of games and maybe a final every season - your "hardcore" support was there yesterday, could you or any club survive on those attendances ?
For a neutral to watch it was dreadful, like watching a Wigan training session where they are practicing moves against their own academy side who have been told "no contact without tackle bags", this is not the image that we should be presenting to a national free-to-view audience, if you could measure such a thing the net result of the game on TV (and its presentation, I thought Ray French had retired ?) yesterday would have been a loss of the sports fan base - it actually made rugby union look interesting.

| As a neutral supporter I kept switching on and off after 20 mins, not a good advert for the game, Wigan turned up expecting a difficult 20 mins and got the equivalent of ai training session.
I thought Wigan could have scored 100 points to nil today and I reckon Brian Noble was dissapointed that the monkey on his back wiith Bradford still stands.

| I felt sorry for London in May when we battered them in front of a few thousand. However the drubbing they took yesterday was humiliation on a national scale. It has done RL no good whatsoever. Those Broncos players should be ashamed of themselves for such an inept, second-rate performance - remember, their salary cap is exactly the same as Wigans!

45465_1384791340.jpg And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off.
To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

| Well done Wigan. I hope the final is against Wire and all neutral fans can enjoy a great contest (that my team Leeds have not managed against either team at Wembley recently ).
Was dreading a scoreline like yesterday. I know Wigan can only beat what is put in front of them on the pitch, but London are an utter discrace to RL in this country. Please, please RFL put London out of their pathetic misery and end the embarrassment in the capital.

To be fair though, your drubbing was after a 2 day turnaround from your biggest game of the season. London had all week to prepare and yet still got humiliated in a semi final! If that had been your lot it would have been much much closer.

| While the above complaints are valid, I don't recall the same complaints about the '92 semi-finals against Bradford in the CC and Leeds in the Premiership...

| I enjoyed it. It's been a very patchy six weeks and we now need to go into the final in great form (still think we can grab top-spot back)!
Hopefully injuries will be kind to us from now on!

| I enjoyed getting to Wembley - and knowing we were there by half-time was more enjoyable than sweating it out until the very last minute.
But some of the other points are valid. It undoubtedly made for a poor spectacle. However, I think this sort of thread should be posted on the London board rather than the Wigan board.
I'm not sure what some neutrals expect - that Wigan should go easy on their opponents in order to entertain the fair-weather masses? Wigan have been out-of-sorts for several weeks now, and a game like that could have been just what they needed for everything to click back into place, and for the recuperating injuries to get some game-time under their belts in an important match. So there were definite upsides to it for us.
If that viewpoint cuts no ice, then the next place you need to go is the RFL to question the validity of the Challenge Cup, which of course many people now do - because only in the Challenge Cup can the luck of the draw enable absolute losers to reach the semi-finals. At one time that used to be called 'the Magic of the Cup', but we seem to be a more cynical breed these days, who aren't interested in fairy stories.
