it seems the done thing in sport to kick off early in games that have potential to attract "the drunken element". It cuts down pre match drinking time.
A few years ago , the Hull derby would have been nailed on for the early kick off.
I wonder if recent "shenanigans" have induced the powers to make this decision ?

It's more likely to do with the football match being played the day after at 3pm.
They get a full 24 hours to turn the pitch, stadium, lounges, dressing rooms, tunnel areas etc round. |

Spot on ,
Had a feeling this game would be changed . This is the best case senario IMO. Had a very bad feeling that this game would be swapped with the Leeds - Bradford game on Thursday night .
Pretty sure this is all down to the Football on Saturday and nothing to do with what happened at Huddersfield . |

No.
Since 2002 only four Good Friday Wigan v Saints / Saints v Wigan games have been played with a kick off time around 3 p.m. |

Clearly the club was asked to push for 12:15 because the RFL, Super League and St Helens websites have been promoting 2:45 for ages.

I'm not bothered about this having an early kick off but the Wire and Saints games being on Mondays is really annoying. We would normally make a big night out of those games but now we'll just go then come back  The sooner they scrap this Monday nights gimmick the better, especially with our biggest games of the year!

And all three suit me better!  As long as we don't get any more Saturday games I'm happy. It all depends on personal circumstances so obviously it will suit some and not others.
