Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

He threatened to leave Wiganwarriorsfans.com in a 6 paragraph rant because people where getting sick of his attitude, he left, it took him 1 day to come back  , he slates both Riddell and Phelps, not on form but because they kept out 2 youngsters (one who has actually left now) from coming into the squad and playing maybe 2 games in the season.
quite a few have left due to his know it all i am right and you are wrong attitude,it was an ok little site but now it has gone right down hill |

Just to say I've finally done some work for the front page of the website. A cracking article if I say so myself reflecting on 104 years of Festive Derby history v Saints to come on the website this weekend. I've nearly finished it but I'm off out later today so will stick it on the site probably on Sunday (internet connection permitting - bit faulty at the moment).
If you choose to read it I'll be educating you on why the Boxing Day derby was not always the big game at Christmas and I argue that it was perhaps only in the 1959-60 season that the Wigan v Saints rivalry really began to become the fierce rivalry that we all regard it to be today.
Should spark a few memories anyway.

From there I look at the News UK site and then on to Sydney Morning Herald and also News from Oz. All these are in the right-hand column. The last two sites give you League news from Australia early. I followed the Greg Bird saga before it was reported here and a few other stories. Basically, it is like a British Drudge report and gives lot of news and information, though not all confined to Rugby League. |
