| Traffic isn't too bad on the M61 when the Whites are at home. If you don't fancy queuing at junction 6 and going through Aspull, come off at junction 5 (Westhoughton/Chequerbent) and go through Westhoughton and Hindley.
M6 depends if you're northbound or southbound, but Marus Bridge or Orrell are both easy enough to the ground (can't remember what stage the roadworks are at in Orrell).

| Follow the red line from M6 J26. Go past Heinz, and down through Marsh Green.
No roadworks at Orrell. Click on image to enlarge.

Wouldn't it be quicker to turn right when coming off the M6 and then turn down Fleet St/City Road?

Yes, and then turn right down Montrose Avenue, that would be the route I would take.

| Isn't the fooy a 3-00pm kick off in which case if getting to Wigan for say 12-00pm to 1-00pm for drinks etc then should be no massive footy traffic build up at that stage and our game will be finished and most/all of traffic away by the time the footy finishes at around 4-45pm???

| Does anyone actually got to Bolton games anyway? Will the rugby even sell out anyway?

Where would you suggest would be a good parking spot along/near that route leaving a few minutes walk to the ground?

Bolton usually sell out there away allocation and get maybe 18.000 home supporters on they are not the Latics you know. Lowest P.L game on a weekend this season is 20,265 and that was against Stoke City.

Parked at the Montrose pub before with no problems, it's just a straight walk to the stadium from there.

Are you going to get there early?
If you are then park on the Red Robin pub Car Park. It's also really easy to get away from as you are on the roundabout.

Over the canal bridge behind the east stand on frog lane is good spot to park,
