Your correct, St Helen's have life cycle costing to consider and with structural issues incurring at this stage we could see maintenance cost soar over the years, that's one thing our club doesn't have to worry about financially.

Their are benefits to renting than owning I agree, but knowing that if said landlord decided he had had enough they could terminate the 50 year lease you signed in a month's notice and then where would that leave you? and like any kind of tenancy if the reason for terminating the lease is valid and legal then you would not have a legal leg to stand on. As it stands at the moment though with our stadium still being brand new-ish all work is covered by guarantee/warranty and will be repaired under said guarantee/warranty at the contractors/sub-contractors own cost.

Yep, because Wigan Warriors are the sort of tenants who, when they aren't keeping the stadium alive for half the season, are causing so much trouble to its owners that it can only be a matter of time before they are lawfully evicted.
