| Supporters at Wigan were only calling him because of him being inconsistent, but always getting selected even if he had poor game or two.
Something, a player cannot do at a Aussie club as there is more than likely, other players in the squad ready to take their place if they are not consistent, especially if the player is British.

Yes that's right, but doesn't negate what I said.
Huddersfield Fijian flop Akuila Uate played for New South Wales. I think there are others.

He could because Fiji isn’t a tier 1 nation - England, Australia and NZ are tier 1 and GW can’t now play for Australia (which he’d have to declare for to play origin) without firstly claiming residency and having not played for England which he already has.
If GW was Scottish he could declare for Australia after 2 years and claiming Aussie citizenship as Scotland aren’t tier 1.
The rule on it was changed a few years ago well after Craig Smith and Tony Carroll flirted between NZ and Australia.

| Thought Sutton was very good again this morning. Just looked at his stats and even more impressed...
58 mins
58 tackles
15 hit-ups
122 metres
The kind of stuff we have needed for a couple of years.

He's no Tony Clubb. How often did he look angrily at someone?

Was slagged off on here for doing similar week in week out at Wigan because he dropped a few balls and missed a few tackles. But like i have said many times before if you carry the ball more then that increases the chances of errors. likewise with tackles, the more you attempt the mote likely you are to miss
In all seriousness though it will take Tony Chubb at least 3 games probably 4 to reach Suttys stats from yesterday.

I’m surprised to see this as I saw Sutton getting slagged off on the NRL forums and on reddit by Canberra fans.

I liked Sutton but I can’t remember him putting up stats like that week in week out. I would be amazed if that was true.

He used to make around 80-120 metres a week on a rough average. He used to take a lot of carries in so his metre per carry was fairly low which is what a lot of people use as the number 1 stat. He was always near the top of our stats for tackles made carries etc he was underrated by many including me

It wasn’t an antagonistic comment, more a question. If he was close to those stats than I probably underrated him. I always thought he had more to give at Wigan and him losing weight in his first off season prior to starting in the NRL hacked me off a little.
If the ozzies don’t rate him as someone has said on here, which would surprise me as he seems to make the team when fit then I would definitely take him back and think he would buck the trend and come back a better player then the one who left.
