Quote: Jukesays "Cowardice?
Wow!

Jaffa cakes are cakes'"

WOW, Just, WOW.

Leave the sensationalism out of it please.

I agree about Jaffa cakes, they also taste nicer when they've gone stale and crusty too IMO.

Sorry, they've only shown cowardice if they don't fully believe the cause, they're ignorant if they haven't read up on it, maybe the wrong word to use to be fair and it's only an opinion. I'm going off the law of averages assuming that at least 1 person in 17 would have a slightly different opinion or at least a curiosity to hang back and look a bit deeper. Maybe all the agro Folou got last week made them not want to go against the grain. Kind of comes back to the 'I'm not a racist' badge, anyone without one is deemed a racist.

I'd much prefer a 'No to Racism' T-shirt worn in the warm up with no kneeling, that delivers the right message but doesn't get political.

Quote: Jukesays "Pretty much all of it, including the post on behaviour of those fans that were ejected at the Penrith game
because like it or not, most things in one way or another are political.

Peoples views on the NHS
Peoples views on Brexit
Peoples views on Covid
Peoples views on Racism
Peoples views on anything can be considered "Political" even sport/music etc.

As I said earlier, Some fans don't want politics to play a part in sport
Unfortunately Clubs/Teams/Players have their own views and as long as they aren't inciting violence/hate/oppression then that's up to them
Who they decide to take sponsorship from, who they decide to let into the ground, who they decide to clap & have pictures at the end of a game with (If teams were to say go and clap or have pics with fans that had been racist/homophobic then that in some way would be accepting that behaviour)

You have stated previously and sorry for Para phrasing that you "Won't be supporting/attending Wigan games because of the BLM/Kneeling"? (As I say not word for word but you get the gist?) Because it should just be about the sport.

Well flip it
What about those supporters who would feel annoyed if players/clubs didn't actively support these messages (Which whatever way anyone puts it are right, there is Racism, there is bigotry about Gender issues etc.)

What if players at a club or fans were targeted for being "Whatever". If fans/players stood by and did nothing because it's "Sport".
It's not just sport, it's a business, it's culture, it's community, it's everything

Some people seem happy to progress with Sport or whatever in the Status Quo as it doesn't affect them. Fine, but don't complain when others who it does affect or those who want to show support to those for people who are being affected do.

As a White Middle aged straight Healthy man (Cue Jokes from the usual suspects) I have very little to complain about
Unfortunately it seems a lot of people in my position but of all ages seem to resent not having something to complain about and don't like it that others do

Disability rights
Human rights
Womens rights
etc.

Nothing has been given, people have had to fight for them, to protest for them
The list is vast of people who at the time didn't conform to what was the current acceptance of protest levels and would have been labelled as thugs/terrorists etc.- Nelson Mandela probably one of the most prominent.
But history will look upon him kindly - others not so much

In one of your previous posts you said

Why then, did the Democrat Party not select her as the running mate prior to the incident involving George Ford.

They only did so after the event because like all political parties, they saw a opportunity to get cheap votes from the black/asian/mexican population.

I feel sure that if there had not been all the hysteria over the incident, there would have been a white person selected as Biden's running mate, especially after the way that Obama did sod all for the black/asian/mexican community during his term of office.

And why is it that if anyone has opinions different opinions on the subject of racism than yourself, you deemed them as being racist?

What a pity that the left wing fanatical element who are so quick at doing a load of shouting and going on the streets about Racism, G7 meetings, Losing a Election etc do not show the same enthusiasm about the treatment of people with disabilities and the decline in essential public services, especially in social care.

Time that some in our own country need to get their priorities right!

The running mate announcement was at exactly the same time it has come in most previous elections: just before the convention, no matter how predictable the choice is. Don't try and hijack everything to suit your somewhat ill-informed agenda.

Why did you not reply to my post that quoted yours?
You know the one where you dismissed thebehole of Kamal Harris career, and insinuate that she only got the job because shes a Black Woman

You have some pretty awful views IMO

You then say if someone has different views to mine I seem them as racist.

Well here goes, put up or shut up, find me one, just one single post where I have called any individual racist.
Your the one shooting his mouth off, slinging mud

Your the one insinuating that theres some kind of inverted racism, sexism going on and people only getting jobs because of their gender or skin colour.

They didnt select her before (insert any kind of word relating to your knowledge on the subject) because hebinky formally won the democratic party nomination June AFTER the George floyd incident.
And they announce Kamala Harris around the same time as every other Republican or democratic leader has, end of June through to mid August.
Have you been watching Fox News by any chance, one of Tucker Carlsons brigade.

We should be debating whether Jackson Hastings will stay or go at seasons end, we should be debating whether we got our moneys worth out of Fielden, we should be debating whether or not someone looks like Phil Bailey, we should not be debating this because it is politics and it shouldn't mix with sport, the club should have stayed out of it.

Please educate yourself. VP nominations are made in the most part prior to the nomination conventions, which for the Democrats are imminent. I wonder if you were so ‘triggered’ when Trump picked Pence days before the Republican nomination convention in 2016? You have conveniently overlooked the post about her achievements. Picking and choosing which to reply to to suit an agenda? Typical right.

If you don't like politics and sport mixing then Rugby League probably isn't the sport for you - it was founded as essentially a working class uprising and has been in many ways a social movement ever since.

But even putting that to one side, continually saying Black Lives Matter is "politics" or "political" is pretty mind-boggling to me - it's is all one big distraction by people who, whether they admit it to themselves or not, either don't really seek change or don't really see a problem.

I don't recall anything to support the miners in the early 90's, nor do I remember the club supporting New Labour in 97, I don't recall the club being against the Iraq war nor the Afghanistan war, I don't recall the club having a view on the bankers causing the great recession or on global warming.

So why now?
