This might sound a bit harsh, but i'm not even sure I want TL back next season. I'm sure he'll give 100% but imo there's too many jobs for the boys at Wigan as it is. It just feels like there needs to be a complete clear out from top to bottom.
The fact that last night Wane chose to run the ball instead of take the two was the final straw for me.

If Wane remains I wouldn't pin my hopes on Tommy revolutionising our play. As far as I can see Wane has a tendency to ruin halves not allow them to flourish.
Smith used to be a decent half who took on the line, Hampshire, enough said, Williams in my opinion going backwards quickly. The thought that TL will come in and everything will we ok is in my opinion a real long shot.

| I don't think everything that's gone wrong can be wholly pinned on SW as a lot of posters have been trying to do for the last couple of years. However, injuries and heads being turned by the dark side can only serve to highlight the lack of depth of talent we appear to be suffering. Dire kicking aside, metronomic plays are only effective when they're new and innovative, but we've simply been found out this year and the rest of the league has worked out how to nullify our attack. This in turn exposes the lack of a plan B from Wane and I think his time is up regardless of where we finish (I just don't have confidence in the squad to get their heads screwed on proper & put a coherent performance together for what's left of the season and it'll be up hill from 4th anyway). I've always been a fan of SW, and it saddens me to accept this.
But what bothers me more is who's likely to replace him? None of the current SL coaches are likely to be persuaded to move (Sheens' worth has to be called into question regardless whether Salford are relegated, although most of that is probably at the mad doctor's door). I'm not convinced I'd want any of them anyway - maybe Radford. Also, I'm not sure who's out of contract in the NRL or if IL would be prepared to shake the moths from his wallet. Who does that leave? MacBanana, John Kear or it's not beyond the realms of possibility IL will save a few bob & promote Matty Peet.
Season ticket price hikes better not be another 10% again this year or I'll be questioning whether a full ticket - or any flavour for that matter - is justified. Keeping the faith is a bit difficult at the moment.

A lot of what has happened to us in the last few years is Wane's fault, ever since we lost Deacon, our attack has dropped like a rocket and that's simply because Wane has absolutely no clue what to do in attack, when he played he was a prop which just about says it all. We need a complete clear out top to bottom staff wise, Shaun Wane and John Winder both need to go because quite frankly their crap, Who do you bring in as coach and assistant? Difficult one, you could try bring Maguire back, I know his attacking play isn't the best but it's hella better than Wane's.
Assistant wise if promote Matty Peet, he's done a good job with the youngsters and deserves a chance at first team, the one thing we need is an attack coach, what we should of done was bring Leuluai back as an attack coach, he would of freshened ideas up and got us scoring more points. It tells you all you need to know when the current attack coaches are the players, Tomkins Smith and O'Loughlin should not be attacking coaches, 2 of them are always injured/playing with injures and the other is simply not good enough
If we want to win anything next year we need new ideas and that's starts right at the top, bring in a new Coach, Assistant and attack coach with quality, most likley from Australia, the squad is good enough, it just needs someone coaching it good enough

| What we have established in this thread is that everyone wants him gone but nobody has come up with a valid replacement, at all.

How many people would have picked Maguire out as a serious contender back in the day?
There's always going to be someone available.

| He's coached every ounce of skill out of that side, since Deacs and Harris have left we've gone backwards at an alarming rate. The potential our side could have is quite scary and a decent attacking coach would have a field day with it, S Tomkins, Charnley, Manfredi, Wiliams, Bateman, Farrell, Lockers etc and all that we can produce is the same grubber kick into a corner week in week out. We are a horrible side to watch and at present do not deserve to be 3rd!
Wane's passion is there for all to clearly see but it's not enough IMO, same excuses every week and his determination to have a full 13 of Wigan lads is becoming increasingly cringeworthy.
If we don't get rid then we need to find a quality attacking coach to join our ranks as ASAP.

And why would all these posters be privi to know who's available and who's not, as I presume most are not in the rugby agent sector to know who's to sign and who's not to sign.

No worries. Dont claim to be an expert on the guy but I would go for him because of the rave reviews he's received from prominent figures in the game, his success in the NRL feeder comp and the fact that he is at the stage of his career where he could be a realistic target for us.
Plus no other English coaches excite me (bar maybe Darryl Powell who I doubt would come) and that I think we need fresh ideas from the Australian game.

Yet you mention six of them in your post!
And just out of curiosity how many times have those seven taken the field together this season.
Personally I think a coach only has a "shelf life" of five or six seasons unless the playing staff changes by large amounts over that time.

Obvious similarities there with Maguire, could definitely be an option. Although if the club are looking long term they may be put off as he'd no doubt bugger off back to Aus after a couple years. Powell is a good shout he's been great at Cas and they play the best rugby in SL by a mile. What makes you think he wouldn't join a club like Wigan? I think he'd jump at the chance.
