I'm with you. The cherry and white hoops shirt with white or cherry shorts is what Wigan wear. Why mess around with it? The 2011 kit was dire, with the last two just right. Saying that there is only so much you can do with Cherry and white hoops surely applies to any club with a two colour scheme (Saints, Salford, Hull FC, Widnes). It never seems to bother Everton/Liverpool/MUFC/MCFC does it ?

You can add black edging, change the collar, the width of the hoops, have a watermark, change the location of the various badges/logos, etc.

You won't see New York Yankees, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Celtic, the All Blacks change their kit.

Wigan Warriors are an iconic world famous club. They should act like one.

Looks like one of Crystal Palace's kits when Malcolm Allison was managing them. A club with absolutely bugger all identity that tried to create one by having increasingly bizarre kits.

Look like Hull KR if we use them, I'm more traditional in hoops and that's it, just a little tinker eg collar/no collar, wide hoops/thin hoops, white shorts/white shorts with a little bit of cherry on.

I don't buy this "there's only so much you can do with cherry and white hoops". When you look at our kits on Bilko's shirt archive it,s clear that there's plenty you can do. It's also clear that the "alternative" home shirts have been crap. Not that I'm dead against a change every note and then if they can make it good!

It could, but those with inside knowledge reckon it's diagonals, and that would tie in more with the experiment philosophy than the Celtic design.

True. Personally I'd be happy with some variation of the Peru shirt for a change, however I have to admit, I think a cherry and white design of the celtic shirt would work very well.

If the diagonals weren't so steep it would look more like an experimental Wigan shirt rather than a HKR ripoff.

I've been told it was a diagonal stripe but I didn't ask for any other details. From the teaser image I assume that the diagonal stripe is in fact 4 stripes. I was told by two players so unless there's some sort if elaborate ruse by the players I think it will be similar to one of the ones I've posted.

Just seen the 'teaser' for the away shirt... I wouldn't have bothered with the tease, it's basically just a picture of someone's arm.
