Because he's admitted his guilt straight away they've backdated his 2 year ban to the date of the test, so he can start playing again on 24 Nov next year.

I can't see him coming back and certainly not in SL.

i no he has made a terrible mistake
but wht the press arnt telling us is that
he took 1 pill that he shouldnt have
just 1 pill and it was to help him with his broken jaw
and it wasnt even in season or pre season
i no its still wrong but
all the slating on ere is doing my head in

how do you know what amount of tablets Terry took or how often? .he knew when he took it that if he was caught he would face the ban.
his one saving grace in my opinion is that he admitted what he did and has not waited for the second test to be done before he recieved his ban.

Mate - You're making yourself sound ridiculous.

I have used both tobacco and alcohol in the past - Both of which are deemed to be "drugs".

However, I've also used Vicks Sinus Spray which is completely LEGAL, but is a banned substance for an athlete.

Terry has been an idiot, pure and simple.

He had a good career, and has just blown the (most likely) final 2 years of earning VERY good money to do what most fans would give their right arms to have the talent to do.

I for one am glad that he's been caught, as it sends the right message to the whole sport - DON'T DO IT OR YOU *WILL* BE CAUGHT.

He's the first in the world, and hopefully he'll be the last.
However, if they caught 50% of all players in RL taking "stuff" and banned them, then good - It will clean up our sport.

I'd rather have a sport full of clean young players than have even one that takes *anything* to cheat the system.

And as to him owning/running the Ben Johnson - If that isn't a joke then it has to be the most ironic purchase made in a long time.

Also sup3r Terry was caught during pre season training. it shouldnt and doesnt matter when he was taking the illegal drug .players are tested ALL year round, And rightly so.

i no cause terry is a good friend of mine and i have known terry since he was 8yrs old we grew up together and i no all his family and i have speak to them nearly every day
look im not saying wht he did was right i no its wrong
im just saying its no where near as bad as a lot of other people he didnt sniff coke or smoke drugs like other people have

I understand you're upset mate, but, the fact is he took the pill[s] however many it was. One is too many and we all know that. I myself have smoke cannabis once or twice in the past but if my career relied on it i'd never touch any sort of drugs. it's just common sense.

terry wore his heart on his sleave and was passionate while he was at wigan. weather you love him or hate him he did his best for our club. I would never slate him. he knows what a massive mistake he has made. He has to live with that now.
Like i said previously its a sad way to end a glittering carreer.

ANT player who takes drugs SHOULD be banned for 2 years no matter if it is RECREATIONAL or PERFORMANCE ENHANCING... this will send out a clear message.. ANY .DRUG TAKING IS NOT EXCEPTABLE IN OUR GAME.
I DONT care if he took it cos of a broken jaw or because he had a boil on his backside...he knew what he was doing and has not recieved what he deserved.

i hope the stories about Hock being offered a 5 year deal are not true.lets see him prove he is clean before we offer anything to him
