| Way too much arm grabbing and nowhere near enough oomph in the tackle. Playing like we did in the middle of last season when it all went very flat for a couple of months, I'm with Jon on expecting us to pick up the pace when it matters though

| We're in our 'a wins a win' phase of the season and we've seen enough of them now to know it won't last but they can be frustrating. Next week worries me a bit. Catalans were truly awful last night but they'll want to bounce back and it's the sort of place were a lax attitude can soon get you in trouble, with their crowd on at the ref all game and if you panic, you can soon be chasing the game.

Thought we were poor tonight.
Out enthused for periods and made some very basic errors. Contact in defence was way off.
We are definitely playing in third gear at the moment but given we are out of the cup that’s all we need to be.
Moments of brilliance in attack paper over the cracks of a very unwigan type performance tonight.
I’m being critical but I have no doubt we will not be making those same errors or out enthused in September and October.
Finally Hope ZE is ok. Worrying scenes and pathetic to hear cheers from the Leigh end when he stayed down.
Tonight was Leigh’s Wembley, their fans are a bunch of imbeciles. I too am hoping that Zach is ok but, given that he has gone to Salford Royal suggests that the medical staff are concerned.

i've posted on Warriors fans this morning that i think when Havard gets back (another week or 2) that Matty has a selection problem in that Thompson, Havard and Walters can all play big minutes at good intensity. With Dupree and Mago being the rotation and impact, i think both Hill and Byrne will find themselves out of the squad, but we need to keep them interested to cover injuries or suspensions as they will be valuable squad members if we are to go for the GF again
i agree for this week just the 2 changes
Drop Farrell and put Walters in at second row.

Drop Farrell and put Walters in at second row. Walters has been fairly average as second row, he needs to stay at prop for me where he is much more effective. Positive update on ZE from the club Zach was taken to Salford Royal following last night’s game against Leigh Leopards, where he had further scans which thankfully came back clear. We thank the medical staff at The Brick Community Stadium for their work and support. We would also like to thank Salford Royal for their professionalism and work. Zach will now receive appropriate care from our medical team at the Club, we thank the many fans for their support and concern shown for Zach.

| Good news about Eckersley, great that the scans have come back clear. Hopefully he recovers quickly.

Drop Farrell and put Walters in at second row. Farrell still has 2.5 years left on his contract. Seems crazy considering his form in the last 12 months.

I definitely think it was a year too much but Im hoping we're looking to bring in a back rower for next year that can be first choice with Faz rotating in. Moving him to the right side so late in his career won't have helped but defensively he's really struggling and he carries almost no attacking threat.

Yeah agreed on the positional switch - it's a tough one but if he'd still been playing like the old Faz, Nsemba would've had to learn the right side instead. I think Farrell made one decent run last night but 2 seasons ago he would've done that 8-10 times per game and be our top metre maker. And make a couple of breaks. And score a try or two. I'm guessing we'll look to play him like Lockers in the next coupe of years but the difference is that Farrell isn't picking up injuries... And Lockers was still playing internationals at 35/36! Faz is probably England's 10th choice SR at the moment. When you consider that we've lost Nicholson, McDonnell, Pearce-Paul and Smithies from our back-row in the last 2 or 3 years alone, we have still done quite well
