Your sadly deluded if that is what you believe. Parents have a lot less power now than they used to and this crap is all over TV every single day. Most kids nowadays have this I dont give a crap attitude but nobody is allowed to discipline them anymore. Teachers are made to feel scared and intimidated in their own classrooms rather than them being respected. The kids of today may not copy the exact actions of these footballers but the attitude that they can do what they want and that they are above the autoritites certainly rubs off on a lot of them.
I know plenty of people who are good parents but their kids have still done things very wrong. Times have changed.

He was also very intelligent in knowing his 'worth'. He was the best player in British RL and certainly the best player at Wigan. He new this and wanted to protect that hierarchy. Hence Wally Lewis never playing for us.

Don't agree with that. I think parents should be able to discipline their kids how they see fit.
Yes, in SOME cases, this could lead to abuse but I bet in 99.9% of cases it would lead to a more disciplined child.

Just like when you was a child mate and your mam and dad used to lock you in the shed and feed you coal , look at you now
No back to the issue , we had that with Barrett at times , i remember catalan away one yr , he was told he was playing loose and suddenly realised his quad was 'stiff '

Talk about a massive exaggeration. I'd have an 'I don't give a crap attitude' if people made generalisations like that about a demographic that I would belong to. It's just scaremongering about out of control kids with no morals even though the reality is far from it.
As for Tevez, it's hardly a surprise that a footballer has done something like this. In fact the only surprise is that it's taken this long for a high profile player to hit the headlines in this way. Pay someone millions of pounds a year to kick a ball around and eventually they'll start to think they deserve it. Top flight football is like some bizarre fantasy world.

I loved football when I grew up I loved Sonic "The Hedgehog With Attiutude" and Dennis the Menace and all the other things like that but my parents told me right from wrong and thats why I now have a degree a 20k a year job and a nice-ish car. Its nothing to do with whats on TV its all down to parenting.
The only delusional one is you. If the parents were good parents they'd switch whatever it was on TV off if it could be detrimental to the child's attitude and make their kids do homework/study or something else productive. Kids don't need to be slapped or whatever you want to be disciplined. You appear to be confusing "discipline" with "punishment".
Think before you speak.

You make it sound so easy, well you are in for a shock if you ever have kids. Kids just arent scared of anybody anymore. They dont respect teachers, police or figures of authority. You think its just a matter of turning the tv off? They can access stuff anywhere they want with internet at school, phones etc. Kids for years got a clip round ear as a form of discipline and people from them era's are a damn sight more respectful as they knew they couldnt do what they want and get away with it.
Think before i speak? This is a forum where i can voice my opinion, if you dont like it dont read it. You obviously have no clue on this matter.

Thats where the problem lies. Parents cant discipline children how they see fit anymore. I know a fella who as a last resort gave his son a clip nothing violent and his kid rung the police on him and he got a police caution! I you not.

Respect is taught. No kid will ever learn respect if their parents all give up and say "we cant do anything about it so why try" And as for the internet at school have you ever used school internet? You can't get on anything that isnt educational. If the schools any good with its filter that is. The phones all have protections for things kids shouldnt see unless the parent was stupid enough to turn it off for them so yeah. Don't talk to someone my age about technology I know how it works excuses are stupid there is no excuse for letting your kids take part in the riots or causing distress for the general public around them. Also I work with people up to the age of nearly 60 and I guarantee I have a damn sight more respect for the authority than the older generations.

| If i had reported my dad, he would have said "OK, if i have mistreated him, YOU take him, i'm clearly not a fit and proper parent". Discipline is not about physical violence, but it is about teaching whats right and wrong. That IS a parents responsibility. I'm sick of hearing parents who just want to blame others for their failings... Tevez lives in a world with people who feel they are above the law............. And yeah, he needs a slap.

So you'd honestly give your child away to a total stranger? Dont be stupid.
The problem isnt just the teachers fault or the parents fault, its a combination of both, and also the group of "friends" they choose to hang round with

All im trying to say is that just because some kids are out of control its not always bad parenting because its not. Ive experienced parents with these problems first hand and in most cases ive come across theyve tried everything to discipline their children but there is only so far they can go because the law has taken parental control/discression out of it. If you think school computers filtering out websites stops kids then you are wrong, they did that at my school and its not hard to get around.
Tarring every parent with a troubled child as a bad parent is wrong and that is a pure fact.

Discipline is not all about physical violence but when i was growing up you knew that there was only so far you could push your luck before you got a crack. Thats where a large problem lies, kids are not scared of being punished anymore.
Do you think these kids dont know whats right and wrong? Get real, they do bad stuff because they want to and because they arent bothered about the consequences.
I mean whats the worst that can happen? Prison? Xbox all day for free

Re read... I said thats what my father would have said.... And it meant that we toe'd the line because we knew he was boss, and what he said was law. I behaved at school because my parents taught me too... They also made sure that they KNEW who we hung around with.... And don't call me stupid..
