The law allows for people to use reasonable force to defend themselves, their families and their property.
If we had more people like Pie Warrior the world would be a better place.
Are you all happy to see ugly violent scenes at future Saints games because this is where we are heading in my view?'"
Ureka...... someone who actually sees the point being made.
I defended myself and family from the threatening behaviour of the yobs, this in my view stemmed from the fact that they believed that foul and abusive language was acceptable...It is not..... It seems that from replies those who condone the use of foul language in chants also condone the actions of the yobs in question...
I leave you all to draw your own conclusions on the effect this could have on future games if we continue down this route.

You think swearing isn't ok, but murdering is? What ever floats your boat sunshine.

think you will find the club have made their point.. they have signed up to the RFL Respect Policy and a portion of this policy is played as a recorded message before every game at every ground..

Have you read the RFL Respect Policy? Because it doesn't accept violence and intimidation in our sport (which is far worse than using offensive language). I'd consider starting to watch football as it is more suitable to your natural instincts.

can't say i'm surprised by your reply...... so you think it was okay for those foul mouthed yobs to threaten me and my family.......I'm glad there are some decent people who go to games who realise their behaviour was unacceptable and especially the head steward who commended me and ejected the so called yob. It may be a generation thing or even upbringing that makes certain people accept behaviour that has no place in society.

generation? Every generation swears, people in every social class swear, wigan saints/wire will always supercharge the fans and the swearing gets a bit worse on the days but I think its an over reaction this thread. How long is it since we played at central park? The language and actions from fans was far worse there than it is at the DW and no one complained then.

I have condoned nothing, except non-violence. If they threatened you and your family there are better (non-violent (that the RFL Respect Policy condones)) ways to deal with it. You could have reported them to the stewards and had them ejected. Your self-satisfied tone suggests that at the very least you enjoyed hitting him.
To blame your reaction on your armed forces training is the height of disrespect too. In my experience armed forces personnel are calmer and less inclined to violent acts than their civillian counterparts.

You think smacking someone is acceptable? I've never said being abusive is acceptable but I do find violence much more offensive.and in front of his daughter. What an example to set.

16304_1526976105.jpg [size=100:2md8k3b3][b:2md8k3b3]'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'

Agreed. I think everyone has had their say and we're now just going round in circles.
