For all those complaining about Wigan sending a reserve team, it looks as though McGuire made the right choice. Todays game was competitive and close, sending are first team and giving them a good drubbing wouldn't have done us or them any good.

From those who went any of the lads today perform to a standard to put pressure on what we anticipate will be the first choice team.

A good competitive game that, really enjoyed it. Had Leigh on the rack at the end but just ran out of time (although there is some debate over whether the game should have finished when it did). All of the Wigan lads should be proud of that effort but i can't help thinking that Leigh were there for the taking. Nanyn almost single handedly lost the game for leigh he bombed that many chances. We struggled with the high kicks into the corner from Robbie Paul and struggled with our own kicking for much of the game which i think was the difference.
