That article suggested that it wouldn't have been straightforward back then and that if needed they would 'come to an agreement'. That does suggest that there would be issues that needed to be discussed and ironed out so that could well be what is happening.

Although obviously I don't know anything more than anyone else, so it could be that what was said in that article wasn't entirely accurate or doesn't apply on this occasion.

I wonder if a lot relies on what the football results are like this weekend. If results go their way and Latics are safe, I can't think there will be many issues. Wolves are already gone so it isn't like they would have anyone to complain to if the pitch was not in top condition (which it probably would anyway).

A decision needs to be made today or tomorrow at the latest I'd imagine. The BBC will want to know where they're broadcasting from and I'm sure Saints will want an answer also. If we think we can only provide that next week sadly Saints would be within their rights to make a claim to the RFL to have the game staged at Langtree park.

i think tickets will be announced Thursday and go on sale Friday morning like they did for Fev so waiting until Monday isnt an option. But i dont see how we wouldnt of kicked of at 12:45 been done for 3pm then given the groundmen ample time to turn the pitch around. Didnt the ground staff at Hull turn it around in 3 hours a couple of years ago?

true - but I would expect the RFL are keen to get it sorted, and start selling tickets ASAP, so I would imagine that as soon as the decision is made it will be made public.
