| You have got to love the cocky attitude by the Wiggin fans on here!!!
Because you beat Catalan, you now think you are there again???
And if you think saints played at their peak 2 weeks ago, then fair enough, but saints can improve also which alot of you seem to be forgetting on here. Because we won at the DW, it's our best win of the year!?!?!?! not a surprise when wiggin fans say that.
Take away the game at widnes in June, the other 4 games could have gone either way and this weekend's game will be exactly the same.
Wiggin will start as favourites, just, but if saints turn up and play their game, then the piemen will have to something exceptional.
Time will tell, if wiggin well I will say fair enough, but I get the feeling that if saints pull off another shock (not to saints fans) wiggin fans won't say the same.
I love it when people underestimate saints.
Like one former saints captain once said, NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS

What was your best win then? How can it be anything other than that? First time you’ve beaten a team in Super League of any significance this season, so unless you’re counting a 50 point+ win over Wakefield or whatever as a great win, then that’s fine

This former captain was a master of the profound and original statement, was he?

It was certainly our best win of the year for me, although the performance of a young team at Headingley was also exceptional.

The win at Leeds was what I was referring to.
Still no respect being shown to us saints, like I've said if you win I will hold my hands up on Monday, but you lot won't, it will be the refs fault or something like that.
Anyway, it doesn't matter in the long run because Wire are going to win aren't they???

Respect is not something anyone is entitled to just because of who they are.
The situation is simple. Most Wigan fans were pretty nervous yesterday because they were expecting a very stiff challenge from a team who had beaten us twice this season (far more convincingly than Saints did). Yet they came through it with flying colours, so the pressure was relieved.
Everyone knows Wigan have another stiff challenge next weekend, but they have more reason to be confident against Saints than they did have against the Dragons, because the recent track record is better.
Now you can either accept that this is human nature, or you can carry on being touchy about what's been said by a few fans on a message board. But one thing is for sure, nothing you read on here will have any bearing on how the Wigan team preps for this match. They will be taking it very seriously indeed, and preparing as if Saints were the best thing since sliced bread.

| Hopefully be looking forward to watching this game after Wire a win (fingers crossed) although will still watch it anyway, there hasn't been much between the sides this season in the games played but to be honest I was expecting Wigan to win last time it was a great performance by a young Saints side to get the win which will give them some much needed experience of big games, Wigan looked very good in parts last night their defence being the best but for me it was a very close first half with Catalan wasting 3 very good chances by the smallest of margins I think the last one which then followed Wigan scoring on half time broke them IMO, also Blanch going off upset the whole left edge but it good play by Wigan to target it.
2nd half Catalan didn't look like scoring which was down the very good Wigan defence again but their own defence was awful giving away 3 sloppy scores which am sure annoyed Trent Robinson and was the kind of rugby which saw them lose 3 on the bounce at the end of the season, Wigan fans should be very happy with the defensive effort though after recent games but also IMO Catalan were awful at times (Sorry if that upsets a few)
Agree with the bookies making Wigan slight favs, they are the Champions after all but I wouldn't rule of this young Saints, that game at the DW could be the making of them.

Wrong.
Stains would have still finished behind Wigan had that occured

Saints are favourites given that they played well and won last week. It makes a change for Wigan going into a Derby as underdogs which is good for the team and the fans.

Wrong again.
There's has never been a SL playoff format where the team finishing 2nd can be eliminated by losing their first game. Do keep up
