I fancy Wire though. Wigan have faced Crusaders first up and then a Hull KR team that huffed and puffed against a dreadful Salford side.
Really looking forward to it!'"
Sure, but Wire were hardly tested by Quins, and Cas were there own worst enemies with pens and lost ball, home advantage could be the telling factor, lets hope not !!!

But in this Wire side I would have him over Tomkins.
Saying [iBriers is an overated old player who doesn't turn up half the time[/i is load of crap he's led our team on his on in the halves for years.'"
Lead them to what exactly? 10 years of mediocrity and 1 play off game which you lost?

Semis, playoffs and a CC final
Point I was making is he's lead the team on his own.

To utter mediocrity, he's vastly overrated.
Two Cas mistakes won it for you on Saturday, not Briers.
Oh, and Semis and one play off game does not equal success, at least not for a club of Wigan's standing which is why Noble got the boot.

It's hard for us to judge Briers overall as he seems to raise his game against us but seems less effective against others teams, but there cant be any question that he's a talented rugby player.

Been awhile since you got past a semi 8 years since you won something aint it? Good luck to MM or its the boot for him as well.

| Briers overrated? I think you'll find the aussies called him 'the best britsh half back they had seen in ten years' when he played for wales against them. But obviously when GB has talent like pryce, Mcguire, Burrow and long you can't really expect someone of Briers' limited ability to get a number of caps.

I'm just saying a Playoff game and a semi or two does not equal success at Wigan when you clearly implied it does at Warrington.

Briers is a great player with the ball. However he is a defensive liability. In the last two seasons he has missed over 25% of his tackles. That is what has stopped him being an International player.
