Yes Rogues, I said in an earlier post that Wigan will have had this 4 day turnround twice with the game against Salford. The other game was against Wakefield. |

Sorry, but that's just not right for either game, 4 days is no recovery period and teams should not be playing unless both have a decent recovery time.
The most important thing for me in all this is player welfare. One team has recovered from their previous game and is prepared, the other is neither. It appears player welfare has not been taken into consideration.
IMO next Thursday's TV game should have been Hull FC v Saints. Hull on a 7 day gap Saints 6. The Salford/Leeds and Wigan/ Salford fixtures are just plain wrong!'"

Firstly I don't but these conspiracy theories but who am I to get in the way of the entertainment they provide on a fans forum.
Sky moved our game to Thursday because that's the one they wanted on telly. They wouldn't look it care about whether a team has he 4 days rest or not. As others have said it is not allowed in Australia and shouldn't be allowed here.

Spot on. There's no conspiracy theory but it's just not fair on the players or the fans but Sky don't care (and why would they) and the RFL are too weak to say no. |

Yes I had noticed that fixture at the start of the season but as there was no disadvantage to either team I discounted it. It is not the fixture against your team that is after a short turnround. That comes on Thursday next when we play Salford. |

When SKY changed the game it did worry me that a game which we would expect to win became a game that will be a struggle. SKY knew this when they moved the game from a Friday to Thursday giving Salford 6 days and us four.
Was this trying to make an uncompetitive game competitive for TV purposes? If so then they are taking the game in areas they should not be dealing with. If they are trying to manipulate the League table by pulling stunts like this then they need telling and very firmly. Where does player welfare come in all this? Obviously nowhere!
I hope we win them both and well but we all need to get down to the DW for the Salford game to give our support to the lads who will need it.'"

Wigan are facing a four day turnaround.
As has been mentioned a pattern has emerged whereby those teams on a four day turnaround do not win, Cas when facing London apart.
This is Wigan's first time in the straight SL League fixtures. The Wakey game which was a four day gap was a re-arranged fixture due to the WCC match. Both Wigan and Widnes lost after their four day gap.
The idea that SKY do not know this by now is naive and laughable.
Also what bothers me greatly is player welfare. Players going into a game hardly recovered against an opposition that is both recovered and prepared.
