Suspended fine is the right decision.
He just need to grow up a bit now and start acting in accordance with the great traditions of the best game in the world game which has until recently always had a history of respect for others both players and fans.
Lets not go down the nancy ball road. Banter is fine and good but things are now getting out of hand lately. |

| He's been hard to when you consider nobody else has ever copped a fine (suspended or otherwise) for flicking the V or finger to the crowd, even when this has been caught on TV. I suggest an appeal.

Given the occassion I would guess the RFL decided they need to add a fine this time but its a suspended fine so providing he takes the advice on board he should be no worse off than the others and it sets a bench mark for any other transcrections of this type.

As do some of your clubs fans. It would be nice to see some comment in the next Leeds match day program from Hethrington suggesting the fans leave the nasty stuff out.

I of course make the request to ALL fans out there.
Twisting it round to make the issue one of "your club/fans are worse than ours" isnt very constructive is it.
The appeal is to genuine RUGBY LEAGUE fans of all clubs. Banter is fine but lets not let things get out of hand.
I fear this plea will fall on deaf ears however.
I blame the lack of the death penalty over the last 4 decades. It has just allowed the moron/criminal classes to breed and they are taking over |
