| It looks like it's the last tackle of the 24th min, right at the beginning of the 25th... Hansen briefly nudges Lynch's lower back with his knees but nothing drastic enough to warrant going before the RFL ?!?

It says he applied undue pressure on the neck or spinal coloum of the opponent. I just dont see it, lynch's head is pushed forward slightly but purely as a result of the positions of the players bodies in the tackle, there doesn't seem any risk to lynch and absolutely no reaction from anybody

| Quote: mr.simpson "well, i've watched it a few times and still cannot see anything amiss. the trouble with the complete idiots who view and decide what is foul play is have only cautioned ryan mcgoldrick for ramming a players head into the ground ! he didn't even get put on report.'"
How on earth did McGoldrick only get a caution for that? He grabbed the guy round the neck and deliberately slammed the players head into the ground. It's more dangerous than most spear tackles and they generally get a ban of at least 1 match. Bloody hell!
I can't see how Hansen will get a ban. He's done very little wrong in this instance and even if there is something untoward it can only be minor, at the minimum range of sanctions. Given Hansen's good disciplinary record I can't see him getting a ban.

| The RFL are quite literally bent scum if they ban Hansen for this, a player with no malicious in him what so ever banned from playing at Wembley for a nothing tackle.

| Roby pleaded his innocence before the semi and his record helped him so that really should be the case for Hansen.
He'd be a real miss if banned.

The recommended minimum sanction if found guilty is a one match ban. However I can't find anything wrong at all having watched it numerous times.

| Just watched the tackle. If he gets banned for that it is a total disgrace. Nothing in it at all.

| The whole RFL Disciplianary system is a joke.
I was worried about Hock getting a ban as he did sort of punch a Bradford player in the 58th minute. Didn't Hauraki punch a Harlequins player on Saturday as well?
It will be a total injustice if Hansen is banned - but the influence that Hetherington and a certain Tony Smith allegedly seem to wield with the RFL should not be underestimated ( how many times have Leeds and Warrington players escaped bans despite seemingly more serious offences?). It wouldn't surprise me if H. gets a 2 game ban to keep him out of the Warrington game as well!
Will H.'s "previous good disciplinary record" be taken into consideration as was the case with Ryan Bailey and Lee Radford?!! This didn't prevent Tuson being banned for an equally innocuous tackle.

| Don't forget the judiciary banned Chris Tuson for absolutely nothing earlier in the season so nothing is beyond them. If he does get one match I fear for Leeds as it will fire the rest of the lads up good and proper.
Nothing on the RFL website yet but if McGoldrick does not get called up or Lynch or Sykes or Hock then it will be a disgrace.

| The really worrying aspect is doesn't Lenegan expect our players to plead guilty or is it that he never lets them appeal i'm sure there's something Lenegan prevents or expects something regarding disciplinary.

Think Joel appealed for his ban from the Hull game.

don't worry. No one gets banned for the CC Final (hardly ever)
in other news though, just to help keep the score down and to keep the casual BBC armchair RL fans interested throughout, the RFL have instructed Bentham to award the first 6 penalties to Leeds and for Childs and Hicks to disallow your first 5 trys for imaginary forward passes

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |
