got to respect his decision going out while on top, (hopefully!) would love to see 1 more year, but only he knows how he feels the days after a game and how tough it is for him to get right for the weekend. The body does start to struggle when playing week in week out and it does get lots harder when you get into your 30's, then suddenly the wheels can fall off virtually overnight.
Just hope he can stay fit for the rest of the year and go out in style with an appearance at Wembley and Old Trafford.

It is an intensely personal decision and I am sure that if he does retire will Wigan fans will respect his decision and want to pay tribute to one of the outstanding servants of Wigan in the SL era.
But..... he isn't playing like a guy fanning the dying embers of his career, surely there's enough left in the tank for one more glorious year in the Cherry and White.... you'll be retired a long time George... don't do it, re-sign George!

I'd love him to have another year but if he wants to retire thats fine by me he's give nothing short of 100% every game and i have alot of respect for him

Not unexpected to here he was retiring. But disappointed none the less.
I'm with Jonh, if George feels this should be last season then so be it. He knows his own body, and just how much he has left to give.
So while I like the idea of him staying for a further a year. I'd hate to have my image of him tarnished because George went on a year longer than he should have.
