Lets face it, there is more comparisons going on between the two sides than ever before, more points scoring, more sticking the boot in, more checking each others forums and more trolling simply because both sides know the other side has been and is the only realistic chance of stopping them winning trophies on a regular basis. Teams can win one off comps like the Challenge cup and maybe even a LLS/Grand Final but since 2018 Wigan and Saints have shared every Grand Final Trophy, a lot of the league leaders shields and a couple of challenge cups, with a WCC win each thrown in for good measure. We're each others biggest rivals anyway, always have been and always will be but this past 6 years, alongside the fact we still look like the best two sides in the league will keep this chatter/banter/sticking the boot in going for as long as this is the situation.

Each to their own but I enjoy having a bit of back and forth with Saints fans. It's better than sitting here in mid/lower table, with no real rivalries to speak off and that is the case for a number of clubs.

We need St Helens as much as they need us because if you cannot get up for these games then RL isnt for you.

Christ, lose one game and we're finished! Obviously not exclusive to Wigan, but it always surprises me how insane sports fans are. Even on Redvee you've got predictions we're gonna lose the next 5 games in a row, be out of the running in all comps with the coach being sacked lmao.

I stand by saying that I think BOTH of our teams are a cut above the rest of the league at the moment. Im very confident in what our starting 13 can achieve, with the obvious weakness that is the left wing spot. However, your strength in depth is a good level above us, so a bit of luck could definitely play a part in how it all goes this year.

I think our defence has for the most part, continued to look outstanding. I thought we looked very good against Huddersfield, and I thought we looked pretty good against Salford too and were cruising against a very in form team up until the sending off. Salford are playing well anyway, but they're so good at moving the ball and they did a fantastic job of taking advantage of the numbers and fair play to them. They knackered us out and reaped the rewards. Before the sending off, we'd conceded 14 points in 3 and a half games of rugby. I'm baffled by anybody saying we look finished.

Unfortunately I doubt Matty Peet and the lads will think the same, which is a shame.

I would agree wholeheartedly with you but I can’t as this is a Wigan v Saints debate and therefore we are bound to disagree. I think we are in for a treat on Good Friday if the weather is kind.

Redvee is full of toothless simpletons. They all just blindly think that St Helen’s are still the best team in SL when it’s clear to see they are a top 6 maybe top 4. Anyone who dares criticise on that forum is mocked.
