Wasn't it around that time that he broke his leg against Hull KR? He was treated so well by the club that I think it changed his mind somewhat about Wigan. I've no doubt he was biased against us early in his career, but I don't think that would be fair to say now.

At the time I don't think he could take Maguire's ''tackling tactics'' if you know what I mean. He felt is was inhumane.

| This Thread is embarrassing. Wigan don't have a right to win you know. Maybe we should turn the discussion on it's head and examine why you win more with other Refs.

| It's 2015, we've won everything, you haven't so just get over it. There are so many marginal calls we all have to deal with, no need for conspiracies. Move on and look forward to next year when you'll probably do well. But for this year? You won jack

So you waited over 18 months to post that little gem?
I can't wait for your next post. Hope it's as full of wisdom

I'd probably be angry if it was scored against us, I doubt I'd be much bothered a week or more later, particularly if we'd been as dominant over as much of the game as you were; you had plenty chances and plenty time to have made it irrelevant.
I also checked the rules for Hall's try in the semi which I thought at the time shouldn't have been awarded. I was wrong on that one; it was ok as the rules stand. Can't remember any controversies in the games we lost after the CC, we deserved to lose all three and did so fairly comfortably. As for the DW in July, who cares? It may have even provided that little extra bit of motivation that scraped us the win in a very close game.'"
I can recall being on the wrong end of a few obstruction decisions earlier in the season. It was like the rules changed half way through. Also on the wrong end of a couple of pushes in the in-goal areas at both ends so can't say I'm particularly bothered with their whining! Let them have another "moral victory". They're on a hat-trick now!

| There's a reason that the RFL have based themselves in Leeds and that's because a majority of the RFL staff are Leeds born. Most of them come from RL backgrounds and it's more than possible that there are more than the average amount of Rhinos fans working at the RFL.
RFL = Leeds
Leeds = RFL

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Long way to go yet before this 5 year old thread gets close to this 4 week "ref is against us" thread.

No, only Wigan fans do that - someone even started YET another thread on Southstander about this board in relation to this thread, without recognising that
1. It's 5 years old.
2. Since it was reopened more Leeds fans have posted on it than Wigan fans.
3. That 53 page James Child thread.

| Blame me - for starting it in 2010 and then starting it again 5 years later!
Everyone is entitled to form his or her own opinion about some of the VR decisions the last 2 months of the season. Some might see there is a common denominator or even several.
I said, though, a couple of pages ago it is time to put it to bed.....!
