If they played to the potential for which they were signed, Lam might not have to resort to playing Clubb!
Clubb is retiring at the end of the season after giving 100% for the club in a career of seven years which has included having had a major operation which is more than can be said for Bullock, Singleton and other prop forward signings during the same period.
Who will be the target for constant abuse by the same minority next season?'"
Clubbs stats are nowhere near good enough for a Championship club, never mind a supposed top level SL club. I’m not saying Bullocks/Singletons are incredibly better but they’re not as poor as Clubbs are.
He has been a loyal servant to the Clubb and when you look across his full time here a good signing. But his time is done. It was done 2yrs ago. He’s deadwood and should never have been retained.

Neither are those of "top class signings" Bullock and Singleton in the last season or so.
Clarke in his odd rare appearances has even been better than them!

Whilst we should get behind and support the team and not find scapegoats, Clubb's stats are absolutely woeful.

Top class signings don’t always work out. George Burgess is an example of that.
I really don’t understand what you’re getting at. You’re contradicting yourself massively by saying on one hand criticising the criticism of Clubb and in another bereft at Bullock and Singleton not being “top class signings”.
Make your mind up.

Somebody on the other board said Bateman told them at the Wakey game that it would probably be Leigh before he was back, so I think he may be held back. Lam made a comment on Wigan TV though that seemed to hint at him being on the bench. He said something along the lines of ‘whatever minutes we get from him will be a bonus’ whilst praising the contribution of KPP. I think now is the time for that move to loose forward but I’d ease him in tonight and then start him there on Sunday if possible.

I don’t have a good feeling for tonight. Hoping Wire aren’t match ready given they’ve had a few weeks off.

| To be fair we’ve had a great start. We just need to keep building pressure

| We are always one stupid decision by a player from ruining a performance. Warrington have been miles off but we are what we are, a very limited and poor side when it counts.

| I think it was a decent first half performance. We have had some excellent attack and alright-ish defence. The reason we’re behind is the clear lack of direction going forward and powder puff defence - the Austin try for example, Clarke ghosted through Clubb (and Partington).
Warrington have been poor. Really susceptible to errors and poor attack. That, IMO, sums up where we are as a team.

| Better effort so far, we are just like some strike and talent. Put a fully French, Field, Hardaker and Manfredi in that team and we are probably 20 points better off.
I can see us fading and conceding tries late on, that will flatter Warrington.

| I somehow thought this was going to be on the (council) telly, or ourleague. Now mulling over whether to go down the pub for the second half.
