I'll rephrase the question. If Wigan lose on Saturday, they should be playing on the Saturday of the World Club Series. What is the reason that they won't be playing on the Saturday?

Go and argue with Sky that you want to play on Sunday.

Wigan were always the Sunday game once they qualified.

It doesn't matter but you're trying to argue the toss?

As the links above show, the runners up were originally due to play on the Saturday until your landlord spoke up. Wigan weren't always going to be the Sunday at all.
