| Watching it in the pub with no sound, every time you went for 2 i was.....phew...... thank god.
That game should have been Wigan by about 16, yet we came away with the 2 points, chuffed and relieved.

| Quote: Dita's Slot Meter "Wire at about 50%, Wigan at about 70%, lots of mistakes......If we are being honest, the constant closeness of the score was the main reason for it being a good game.
If either side had just been able to step up a level, then it could have been one-sided and a pretty tedious match.
From a Wire point of view, the main thing to come out of this is that we are becoming very difficult to beat, even when nowhere near their best.....If I was a Wiganer, the feeling would be pretty similar - Plenty more to come from both sides, I'd reckon the Grand Final will be contested between these two come October.'"
This. I thought it was pretty poor stuff from both teams. Too many silly errors, brain farts and indiscipline to be a classic. Both teams can play much better.

| We weren't clinical enough in attack to get over the line though I don't think. Your defence was superb at times (a few offsides but the same with us) so I was quite happy to take the two points. Had we not thrown an intercept at 18-12 or missed an easy kick at 12-6 then we'd have won the game. We did, and we didn't.
Personally I thought we got the rough end of the stick from the officials but most Wire fans will think the same. We made some poor mistakes which kept you in the game.
Cracking game of RL.

I still think you made the wrong calls on some of the pens. You were making easy yards, our defence was 'holding on'..just..and yet you still went for the 2.
Great tackle by Atkins on Tomkins when he looked to be heading for 6...I don't know how he caught him.

| It was a good game but both teams played at nothing like they could which is actually what made the game as good as it was, if either team had shown up and played clinically the other team would have been battered.
Wigan were the better team and lost due to poor decision making.
The ref was sh*t full stop, he neither lost a game for Wigan nor won it for Wire.

amen to that!..he came from nowhere!...I had resigned myself to Mr Tomkins placing the ball under the black dot...then a streak of red and black appeared like a heat-seeking missile...quality!

| tbf all tomkins had to do was look behind him and not ran exactly straight he would've scored instead he tried to pin his ears back and go for it and just didnt have the pace, charnley had a quiet game hardly got the ball in hand and wen he did riley had the position to force him to cut inside.

Riley had a really good game, and always looked a handful with ball in hand. Sam, althought quick looks faster coming at people, because of his ability to catch people on the wrong foot and leave them.

| IMO Wigan had the game won but bad discipline and decision making cost you the game. Why go for for 2 points when you had the momentum and Tomkins IMO chose to go for greedy glory. He could do to match his superb broken field running with some awareness to put others in for tries.

| I thought we were to predictable , we went to the left side far to much , pat carrying an injury " just don't understand the thinking there " Josh on the right not seeing the ball just a waste in my opinion , he's a finisher and we don't open it up , that needs to be addressed.
To many penalties conceded by both sides , a bad refereeing performance by silverwood , no surprise there , but overall with our dominance we should of won the game. But credit to Warrington they defended well.

| Very good game that, both sets of players will be very sore this morning.
Wigan where their own worst enemies last night. Leuluai throwing an intercept pass for the second week in a row is stupid, leuaki again giving away two penalties (the first I was unsure about? not watched the game back but you see people going in with their arms raised like that every week. Fozzard made a career out of it. But I think both him and westwood could be facing bans)
It's frustrating being a wigan fan at the moment, you can see what we want to do but maybe the application is a bit off. There where stages where if we had made the final pass we score, Hock offloading to a wire player when carmont was on his shoulder. Leuluai going himself when we had a 2v1 with goulding and charnley on the outside.
It will come though and we will be there or there abouts at the end of the year. Warrington have the bragging rights but it will mean bugger all at the end of the year if either team doesn't make the final.

This is spot on. Forwards battle last night with Wire making the best of the crumbs.

Agreed, they were awful decisions.
