Murphy was an arrogant git off the field as well........Sam isnt....thats the difference.

He spoke sense in the article but then let himself down on Sunday by becoming one of the 'sheep' and losing the plot at Sam for doing something any fullback in superleague would do in trying to stop Jon Clarkes try.
Briers isn't daft. He knew there was nothing in it but decided to try and cause a situation to add to the mounting criticism on Sam's shoulders. He knows that if they can put Sam Tomkins off his game were not nearly as good a side.

The biggest difference is that today's technology allows virtual lynch mobs to form. Also, Sam seems to be a more sensitive person than Murphy from my admittedly limited exposure to both. IMO the stick is beginning to get to Sam, so much so that I wouldn't be surprised if he fails to see out his existing contract.  |

I've just been watching a clip from tonights programme while watching the championship game on SKY. It will certainley get fans going again as the clip showed Sam trapping / clamping the arm of Carney who was shouting for him to get off etc. |

It usually goes on the Sky Sports website the day after it airs. I've watched a few on there after missing them on Sky so tonight's should be no different |

I think Sam came across well tonight and didn't seem arrogant I think he will learn from his mistakes he's a young and very talented player and no matter what any other fans say they wud have him in they're team in a shot.

Came across as a real, level headed decent bloke. Alot more educated than I thought he would be. Hopefully we can keep him in our sport and in this country.
