| Harris has done a good job as coach of Wales, overachieving in beating France away last season to qualify for the 4 Nations, where he faces mission impossible, pretty similar to his prospects whilst at Crusaders. Good to see Wigan bucking the trend with a British coaching set up.
As IL pondered at the last fans forum - do we need a reformer such as MM at this stage, someone to carry on MM's work, or a reformer next time round.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

As assistant I mean. Would be nice to have him in the backroom staff.
I can see the good things about bringing in Harris though, already coached at the top level, played in both codes, decent experience, very high pressure job at Crusaders. Wigan should be easy for him

Why not have 2 assistants? None of them are particularly experienced (strength in numbers), or perhaps Scully is in line for coaching the reserves and helping out with first team.

33718_1325770967.jpg Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? A big stage demands big players…..INSPIRE YOUR TEAM MATES.

Not too bad
If scully or harris get even a single job at Wigan between them, thats me finished !
We would only go downhill with either of those two at the club, nevermind both. Wigan are better than either of those two can give.
THEY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, NOR HAVE THE RIGHT QUALIFICATIONS OR ATTITUDE.
DO NOT LET THEM IN IL.

Out of interest, tell me how Shaun Wane is more qualified than Harris?

1. Knows the club and the players inside out
2. Has had 2 years learning to win under Madge
3. Has the total respect of the players
4. Has been assistant coach at Wigan, which is much bigger than head coach at Crusaders
5. Has a winning record at all levels.
6. Knows the importance of the club's "ethos".
7. Has learned what not to do, from his years under Noble & Millward

I'd still support them if Thatcher, Major or the Queen was the coach. Out of interest how do you know what qualifications or attitude they have??

To be perfectly honest, and in no way am I saying that I would prefer Harris to Wane, but being the head coach of a superleague side as well as a national side makes you more qualified than being an assistant for 2 years. IMO.

Both of them can't talk properley
Both of them (esp. scully) are scruffy gets.
They are just after a payday. If scully was any good, dont you think his club. stains would have him in some capacity?

Hey I never said they'd be a good coach. Just someone said they don't have the right qualifications. If you described someone (with no names) for the assistants job by saying:
- only 35 years old
- already coached an international side into the 4 nations
- already been an assistant coach at a SL club that got into the playoffs
- been a head coach at a super league club
That is a better resume than Shaun Wane's, and I personally think on paper it'd be a bit of a coup to get Harris as an assistant at Wigan.
