| I don't think you will be able to drink in any of the pubs/bars in the city centre with any colours on.

its not a problem. most bars can distinguish between football and rugby. you will notice tho most bars will have door staff so anyone looking youngish will get ID'd.
Best bet though if anything is if you want to sup in town go upto the top end of town well away from the station then you'll have no football related issues. Steer clear of the Scarborough Taps as it'll be rammed full of leeds united fans

'"
There is no difference in walking time from Burley Park and Headingley stations. If you nip up the alleyway and walk along Queenswood Drive, you can be at the ground in 10 minutes. I once fell for someone telling me Burley Park was far closer and I nearly missed my train. Obviously if coming from the city centre it makes sense to get off at Burley Park, but it doesn't really matter.
And to be honest if there is more than one of you, getting a train is a waste of time, just take a taxi.

I was thinking of this. Train to Leeds and then a Taxi to the ground. Sounds good to me

Good places in town are
They're both about the same distance from the ground to be honest

Always thought this was rubbish when people have said it before because been sure the 2 or 3 times ive been to headingley on the train ive gone to headingley station. If your going to the away end of the ground via the taps headingley is far better IMO

Bit more than that. Maybe a fiver private hire, £6-£7 Hackney.

| Folks, if your going by train from anywhere, tell the person who's issuing the ticket that you want a return to Burley Park and not to leeds!
The price is exactly the same but if you get the ticket return to leeds youll have to pay to burley park and back! Every ticket office/conductor has every train station in the UK on the ticket issuing machine!
