Before everyone slates me for picking Tony Smith, it did say favourite players. He wasn't really the player we needed, not being much of an organising halfback, but I just liked watching him. Strikes me that he would actually probably do better in today's Super League, with his greyhound-like pace, eye for the try line and support play - kind of a forerunner of Danny McGuire.
