Thats a nice positive attitude - I would suggest that by the fact you have both Tomkins and Ainscough recently introduced into your team (and both playing very well) your youth setup is working ok. It's your selection of poor/average imports where the problems lie. The real test will ofc be can you keep the good young players (I think you will definalty try alot harder now your top management has changed).

| I agree with the Saint.
I would prefer Wigan to be build around Wigan lads (Wigan youth team system), make them the focus. Cap to be used to reward the youth when they break into the first team and act professionally.
Would generate a better example for younger players to see former youth team players rewarded as they become 1st team regulars.

An assistant to Mike Forshaw was appointed a while back, Mick Turner.

Radlinski I agree with.
Unsworth has been stealing a living from this club for most of his adult life. He has nothing left to offer.
Pendlebury is clueless.

Agreed.
I moan, and you walk around with your eyes closed, advocating that we buy more and more foreigners.
Both as bad as each other probably.

| No Jack
When I advocated buying McGoldrick I gave reasons.
i.e. he's better than we have now, and I'd rather have a good overseas player than an average to poor Wigan born or English player.
We're all STILL waiting for you to tell us which Wigan youth players we should have kept and in whose overseas players they should take.
You just moan.

Well I suppose this is something along those linesKeith Schmechel has started his part-time role in Performance Analysis."
Mind you why Lyon and Schmechel's roles are part time I don't know. These are the area we are lacking in.
Schmechel and Rads are the only new appointments as far as I can see. Has Unsworth got Lydon's old role or what?
If so what do people know of him? Is he any good?

There are no good reasons why we should take McGoldrick, despite what you think.
Yet again I remind you that we started to talk about which players we should not have got rid of. I gave about 3 examples, and you disappeared.

I think Jack you gave one Stephen Wilde and never mentioned who they should replace.
Check you posts.
Please tell us again who we should have kept, who they would replace and why?

| Not all are new appointments. A lot have been at the club for months just never announced officially. I think they were waiting for everyone to be signed and then announce it as one big thing. Just a reshuffle apart from Radlinski.
