I think that's the first time I have been labelled left, right, etc.

Quick question for you....

You're boycotting the club because they chose to kneel in support of black lives which you see as a political thing. Does that also relate to LGBTQ+ Armed Forces etc?

Also...if the team chooses to warm up in a "vote labour" tshirt or IFL donates to the labour party (I am presuming you vote labour here BTW but feel free to replace that with whichever party you do vote for) would you then also boycott the club and engage in a 17 page thread on here on your reasons why?

Quote: Ruddy Duck "I agree and if sportspeople want to do get down on one knee, it should be by their own thinking and not being told to do it of not wanting to be different than their teammates.

Like I have said before, in no way do I believe that every sportsperson in our country wants to do it, but by doing so en bloc, making it look that you no mind of your own and acting like a flock of sheep being led by american extremists shepherds!

Even the Democrat Party in the USA have now jumped on the bandwagon by selecting for the first time ever, a black woman as running mate to their Presidential candidate in order to get votes from the black population.

But that's Politicians for you, will say or do anything at election time!

p.s. We even have one here in Wigan!'"

I have stayed away from the debate so far I dont want to get into an impassioned debate over some reactive points of view to a stance taken by people and groups over social injustice. To just frame the dabate around BLM is very short sighted. All that BLM has done is focus the world on the very relevant topic of racism, it has shown that the most powerful country in the world is still marred by racial inequality, that in turn as led others to show that they know there is an issue worldwide that needs firstly to be recognised and not thought of as irrelvent in the current century.

As the son of an immigrant to the UK I find your statement offensive, you really have shown your true colours with this one

"p.s. We even have one here in Wigan!" If you are relating to Lisa Nandy as the "one here in Wigan" I can tell you that as a previous trade union official who has been involved in the choosing of local MPs on numerous occasions that Lisa Nandy was the best candidate and is very highly thought of, as you should know she was up for consideration as the Labour Party leader but i suppose that would be becasue of her marxist views and the need of the party to show that they "have one" in the party.

Does that relate to LGBTQ/Armed Forces - It does relate to LGBTQ because what people get up to in the bedroom is up to them, however, to be celebrating what you do in the bedroom and what tickles your fancy should be kept away from children and the family environment. I like Kelly Brook, do we have a Kelly Brook day where she walks round the stadium scantily clad whilst all the male fans rub their knees at her like Vic Reeves? No, because it would be deemed a bit pervy.

With regards Armed Forces day I find it pointless because we have remembrance Sunday.

IFL can donate as much as he wants to any party, its up to him, he can do what he wants with his money in his spare time. But if he tells the squad to stand for a photo holding placards saying vote labour then that's not on.

Either way, the LGBTQ people and the Armed Forces don't go around burning our flag at the haig memorial, desecrating war memorials, attacking the police, spray painting the Churchill statue, breaking lockdown en masse putting all the good work people did at risk. They don't seek to de-fund the police, to break up the family.

Would we be having this conversation if George Floyd hadn't been killed in America?

Which is outside our season so are we not meant to show our support and thanks to the troops? Are we only supposed to show support for them on that one specific day?

We celebrate this at International level every year. When was the last time you went to the cenotaph in Wigan for Remembrance Sunday? I went last year.

'"
]Everything needs a catalyst that sparks the change.'"]

Change is needed in America, all we have done is knee jerk and jump on the bandwagon forgetting that us in this Country have a far better Police force and are far more tolerant and always have been. I think to say that racism is as bad as what people are saying is throwing all the hard work back in peoples faces who have worked hard to get to where we are and negates any progress made. We have come a long way, we need to keep up the work without throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Is that the remembrance Sunday equivalent of being a better fan than me because you buy more from the club shop, or is it the equivalent of only turning up on Grand Final day in your brand new shirt?

It became his catchphrase whenever one of Ted's schemes went wrong.

Love a bit of Hi-De-Hi, although it is worrying how much I appear to be like Mr Partridge at such an early age.
