Beating a team once doesnt make them better imo so we will have to agree to disagree as its getting boring now

As ive said we wouldnt of won no matter what the system so its hardly sour grapes. I just think the system could be better.

Christ, this is getting tired. Apparently we are alone in having just about every player aiming to injure every opposition player on every tackle. Tackle round the chest/shoulders? High shot aimed at injury. Tackle round the legs? Aiming at hyper extension to cause injury. Grabbing the ball carrying arm to stop an offload? Attempted chicken-wing to cause injury.

Watch any match, with any team, and you'll see all of the above, but never mind that, Wigan are evil.

As a side note, I haven't seen a single Wigan fan say that Wigan deserved to be there this year.

Every team knows the system at the start of the season, no excuses from me, I dont agree with the system but everybody knows thats how it is. The 2 teams in the final deserve to be in the final, end of story and fair play to them.

How anyone can moan that a 3rd & 5th placed team have made it to O/T is IMO absolutely comical!

If the rules at the start of the season were say only Top 3 teams get into the play offs (Point exagarated to make a point) then who's to say Saints & Leeds wouldn't have structured their pre-season/squad etc differently and finished in the Top 3 and got to O/T anyway?

By all means debate the merits of the Play off system etc but please do not use the results of this years to prove/disprove your Opinions. All the theories are purely hypotheical because it didn't matter that Leeds didn't beat Wire or Wigan in the regular season, it didn't matter that Wire finished 13 points or whatever it was ahead of Leeds in the regulare season,it didn't matter whatever hypotheicals anyone comes up with because if the Rules were different at the start of the season then the things that happened in the regular season this year may have been different!

Man u for example may rest players in the group stages of the CL and finish second in the group and still go onto win it.
Would that be a farce? A team who loses to someone in the group stages going on to win the competition when it really mattered?

If they change the CL to a straight KO then I'm sure that Man U wouldn't rest players at certain stages and play to those rules and still go on to win it?
