| But at the end of the day, you knew it was premium rate number.. Surely it's all about weighing up the pros and cons?

| But the point is that the staff at my bank (First Direct) have the landline number to give out customers on mobiles, so that they are not charged extortionate amounts to phone them, and they give the number out quite freely if asked.
Same for my insurance company, and just about every other company that I deal with.
The stadium staff don't seem to know the alternate number, and won't transfer you when asked, which is wrong IMO.
£21.70 for "free" tickets (that I don't even know if I will get yet) is quite simply extortionate.
Anyway. Fair play to Mick Hogan.
I sent my email, and he called me back within 2 minutes (but I missed the call ) so I'll phone him back on my lunch-break and see what he says.

| I'm not going to tie myself to any gates in protest. But it's p155 poor organisation on Wigan's part.
I keep telling myself that the growing list of problems is due to teething problems on the part of how the club is now being run. But it ain't half a ball ache, one thing after another.

| To be fair, what do people expect when Barrow only send 1000 tickets, when we have 9000 seasn ticket holders. Its not really Wigans fault.

How is it? .. Barrow allocated 1000 tickets, Wigan told fans of the allocation. Fans either go to the stadium to buy them, or use the phone - KNOWING there are only 1000 it's obviously hit and miss.

I think people do realise that, but for those of us who could not get down there today it was only option, still reasonably cheap as I got 3 tickets!!

Like i said earlier they should have been forced to move the tie to an adequate facility then. If free tickets are promised then a good percentage of our 9000 season ticket holders say 25% (2250) should at minimum be guaranteed tickets imo. It’s one of the selling points for getting a season ticket and also as I said earlier it’s a thank you for all the fans who spend far to much already going to all the games home and away.
Your right it's not Wigans fault but the RFL's. They should maybe offer a scheme where if you draw a club with a tin pot stadium your free ticket allocation gets moved to the next round.

| I actually feel more sorry for anyone who took the time out to queue up and then still didn't get tickets.

Yes, if you travel to the shop Saturday morning, buy a Barrow shirt, hat and scarf and promise to wear Blue 'n' White on the day your purchase will be more than welcome
Seriously I'm sure you'll get quite a few more tickets - think Barrow are still waiting to be given a final figure on the ground capacity.

| Ambrose is good and as close a beer as you can get without actually being in the ground, plus if you like your real ale then they have a good selection plus a couple of plasma's dotted about.
It's 100 yards up the road from the main entrance (for those that have never been before.)
The bar in the ground is cheap enough and always has a good atmosphere plus you can spill out onto the terrace.
