Because at SL level it's been ignored for a long time, helping quick PTB based play. Dudson's finally getting it though thankfully.
Amazing what the addition of Powell has done for our overall attacking structure this week (imo), big reason why we failed to pressure Leigh much last week having no HB.
ETA: bit soft that second try. He's not been amazing or anything today, but in terms of long term planning I still cannot fathom Huddersfield letting Eden go.

| 18-10 down now.
Regardless of the final score it's been a 100% improvement on the Leigh performance.
Good to see this young team has frustrated the Hull KR supporters (ie They haven't folded as expected so far).

good start, but after an error prone middle by both teams, the KR forwards dominated with a very aggressive last 20.
good performance tho.
need taylor, preccy step up now. we lost a lot of oomph when crosby went off

| The team started very well but once a few subs were made the performance dropped a little, which is understandable.
Rhodri Lloyd looks lost at centre at the moment though. Whether that's the position or down to the fact that he has rarely played on the right hand side I don't know.
Powell seems to have made a huge difference and Logan Tomkins has been our best player. I've never really rated him but he's been excellent so far.
Hopefully the second half will be competitive.

His first game I suppose. Still, personally I see him more as a Loose (I suppose time at centre won't exactly damage that), and his inside man today Gelling still strikes me as more of a centre, even though he's sacrificed some speed for mass over the off season.
Rest of the post spot on.

| agree about logan. he's looked sharp today.
powell and hampshire have been decent as well. murphy has taken the high balls well, and run it out of defence well.
crosby and burke have made good yards in the pack.
agree that gelling and lloyd need to swap places tho.

| At least that game gave a better indication of what the players were capable of. The difference made by having Powell in the attacking line was clear to see. He had a decent game, kicked well and defended brilliantly.
Manfredi looks like a very good prospect. He's built a little bit like Charnley and seems to have decent pace too.
Greg Burke was excellent once again. He just never stops tackling, always runs hard and gets in some good offloads.
Crosby, Greenwood, Tomkins, Hampshire and Gelling also did well.

Powell was the big difference. He is so much like Tommy L in the way he plays his game, but with a better kicking game. He's an ideal sub for me as he can cover 6,7 and 9.
I'm really pleased for Greg Burke, and Manfredi has been a very pleasant surprise
I can't wait too see how Hampshire and Williams develop this year in the U19's.

They did quite well. Against a much better team with only a few more first teamers in, I was expecting a worse scoreline. The spine looked much stronger this time around in particular, I still feel we're a bit sketchy on the flanks, and the forwards really shouldn't be rolling the much more experienced opposition - in fact they gave a good account of themselves and came back into it at the end. Our fitness across the board is a serious strength.

| Have I missed something or are the refs (yet again) trying to clamp down on the play the ball. Has a new rule been brought in because I thought silverwood was going to blow the pea out of his whistle
