Always stay around Canary Wharf when going to London. Lived there before moving to Leeds so know the area, but always get great deals in the hotels at weekend, loads of boozers, bars, shops and places to eat so you don't need to move on Friday night, direct tube to Wembley and only 10 minutes to the centre of town as well.

Snap! 3 of us staying there on Saturday night. Park up Saturday morning and catch the train in for a few beers before the game.

6 of us travelodge watford, 2 nights £55 each, nice hotel, easy access to wembley and a decent boozer( The Flag) next to the station in the day( full of chavs at night).

I've always tended to stay at either the Encore or the Holiday Inn next to North Acton Station when I've gone down to London. It's dead easy to get to from the M40 as the road they're on is effectively a continuation of it, and Covent Garden/Leicester Square is about 15 minutes away on the tube. Ideal for drinkies round there before getting the tube to Wembley.

Getting the train down, though this time, and staying just off Leicester Square.

London park royal travelodge. £75 for sat night. Might have a spare twin room spare too! Only 1.7 miles from stadium.
