| Quote: NickyKiss "To say Mcilorum isn't good enough is totally unfair IMO. He is having a good season and his style of play is uncompromising and is brilliant to have in our armour. I thought he was excellent in 2 shorter bursts on Friday and I think that rest really helped his game rather then him being run into the ground for 80 minutes. I agree Tommy should be at 9 in the long term but at the moment Finch is still settling in and has been much better from the bench. The first 20mins on Friday will be all hustle and bustle and that suits Micky Macs game down to the ground.'"
He's been ok but we've massively missed Piggy.
I agree we need to swap changing which is why we start from now with our best line up.
Finch isn't a green behind the ears youngster here. He's played and won GF and SOO games. He found form on Friday and looked good with Deacs. Let's build on it.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

Your right jon. When I think back to Thursday night Davies looked along way of the player he was at Widnes. I appreciate he broke his jaw earlier this season. But after seeing his lethargic performance for Barrow I can see why Crosby has moved ahead of him in the pecking order.
Shame really because with Coley's expected departure at the end of this season. Ben may see a fair bit of game time next year, if he's up to it.

| Gaz hock will be our prop next year. He is the ready made replacement for coley. The props in 2012 will be:
Fielden
Lima
Preccy
Mossop
Hock
Crosby
Possibly O Carroll.
I think Davis will go at the end of this year when his contract expires

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever

This but with Farrell on the bench and Hansen starting... and also Prescott has more impact than Lima so should be played off the bench.
In my opinion the key to team selection is to see if Madge is willing to change things around during the game when things are not going our way. All last season we were always in with a shout even in the games we lost.... there was no need to change things around too much... this season has been different, we needed a change in the wire game and the catalans game but nothing really came. In the Leeds game the switch of Sam to 6 won the game.
If things are not going our way and we are not in the game then I hope Madge leaves Tommy for a long spell at hooker while moving Sam to 6 in attack.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

| Hansen is probably the most under rated player at Wigan. His work rate, discipline and defensive effort are fantastic. He needs to be in the starting 13 and in the second row.

Spot on.
I've often said when he plays it allows the other more 'flashy' players to shine.
He's like Deacon in that sense.

27588.gif "Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.:27588.gif |

| We have to go with the same team as we played at Hull KR. I'd actually be chuffed with us having the same 17 out for two games in a row for one of the first times this season, if not the first.
I was reading something the other day which said Deacon could be missing due to his wife about to give labour? I hope she holds out until saturday and Deacs leads us to victory on Friday.
Otherwise for me its
1. Sam Tomkins
2. Charnley
3. Joel Tomkins
4. Carmont
5. PAT
6. Deacon/ Finch
7. Leuluai
8. Lima
9. McIllorum
10. Coley
11. Hansen
12. Hoffman
13. O'Loughlin
14. Mossop
15. Prescott
16. Farrell
17. Finch/ Tuson
18. Tuson
19. Marsh

I think the only people who underate him are the people who are not from Wigan or do not watch us on a regular basis....
As well as being a hard hitting second rower who gets through bags or work he is also a top, top athlete. There are lots of hard working SR in super league but none with his pace and athleticism, not many second rowers in the league could have done what he did at Leeds last season, he beat a FB for pace.
The only thing I would say is that he should get through more work in attack like Ben Westwood does for Warrington, although we share the workload alot better than Warrington do IMO.

Hope so. We really need to start keeping a level of consistency regarding the side. Chopping and changing every week due to injury and suspension can't be good. I mean the Catalans game we trained with a totally different side to that that played.

Lomax and Wheeler will play in the halves.
Big ask for us with 3 of the pack out (Perry, Clough, Flannery) and 2 inexperienced halves, but in no way mission impossible.
