Coley for me is simply our most important forward.

He’s our go to guy when we need to get out of the and he’s as uncompromising in defence as any player I’ve ever seen. A real great, hardworking and unflashy kind of prop who never seems to get the respect he deserves from other fans?

We’ve got Hock and Fielden to come into the pack as well. They will have to work dam hard to get into this current side as our pack is that good but knowing the type of professional Fielden is and the motivation Hock will have to prove everyone wrong it will massively push up the intensity in training and crank up the pressure on everyone to perform week in week out. That simply can’t be bad for Wigan.

He' leading our pack from the coal face. Mossop and Prescott only need to look at the way he plays and apparently trains also to see what they need to do in order to be a success at Wigan.

coley is immense - goes quietly about his business just isnt a real fans favourite . Shame really as he has been fantastic for Wigan for a couple of years now.Wish he wasnt retiring at the end of the year although confident that Prescott and mossop will lead the way when Coley leaves.

Superb effort from all of them. The big difference between the two sides seemed that we were making yards up front, whereas they had to rely on their kicking game (which was probably the only thing they did better than us).

I think our pack was strong throughout, especially Coley, Mickey Mac, Prescott and Mossop. Huddersfields best forwards from what i remember were Fa'alogo and their number 13 (think it was David Faimu) with Crabtree quite effective from bench. Nobody spot Luke O' Donnell punching Coley in the 2nd half, Coley shrugged it off like he didn't even feel it and carried on. Hes a class act Coley.

Not a clue how we coped playing against Keith Mason with a few players missing.

i think with coley off the field we lacked a little punch to be honest although we still managed very well without but this does show for me what he gives to the team when his head is in the right place.

this applies to preccy too - does he ever play without claret pumping from his fizzog???

i think we did dominate a little more than the hudds fan said earlier in the thread apart from in the second half when they had a good spell but this also coincided with when our forwards were being shuffled about a bit and we were tiring after the top quality defence we were showing.

overall a very good performance especially in the forwards IMO as this paved the way for our backs (BIG pat on the back for lockers too) to take the game away from hudds at the death.
