| Quote: post "I'd rather have it in Sydney than Bolton.
I see it as a great marketing tool to market the Wigan brand to all the Aussies especially the kids growing up, think merchandise or of a young Billy Slater, Lockyer, Inglis going to watch the game and end up supporting Wigan and end up wanting to play for us.
Once again beat the Aussies in their own back yard and show everyone that Wigan RL are back as 'THE' team in world RL.
I would go for sure.'"
The more i think about playing in Aus, the more exited i get about it.
It will make a massive change just to have a bit of pre-match build up and hype to add some spice to the event.
I am also facinated to see the reaction the famous Wigan would get down there.....before the event........and after we beat them!!!

| In principle I'd love it if we went over there and gave the Aussies another pasting, but I don't want us to sacrifice the entire start of our season to do it. If there's a way around sorting out the fixture schedule so we can have a bit of down time after the game then I'm all for it

| Believe the Aussies are relying on the Samoa-Tonga curtain raiser to get their crowd past 15,000 for the Ockers-PNG game at the weekend, so I'm sure they wouldn't want to risk embarrassment by hosting the WCC and getting a poor crowd when hosting it here would be pretty much guaranteed to sell out.

| Quote: Brum Warrior "The international rfl board need to start organising events and their venues 12 months in advance so that we the fans can actually make plans to watch games instead of ifs and maybes. I love the game of rugby league but this is another case of bad organisation that the fans are suffering from. The NRL fixtures were released after 5 days of their grand final and we are still waiting for ours and the tickets to actually go on sale for Cardiff. Get it book for Reebok and then we can all get our tickets and have something to look forward. Also RFL can you let us know the venues and dates for the four nations in 2011.'"
As I've been saying for years. The RFL and RLIF need to get it sorted from top to bottom.

| In 1994 at the press conf the Broncos officials were very down about the crowd for the game as advance ticket sales were low.
In the event, gates were shut at least 10 mins before KO with loads of people outside who couldn't get in.
ANZ capacity 60k, announced att 54k!
I think we'd fill the SFS but not sure about filling the ANZ place.
A delayed TV broadcast would help the gate.

| I say Wigan dig their heels in and request / demand its played in the UK.
Us Wigan fans have been a long time waiting to get to play in a WCC match and because it suits the Aussies, we are having to travel now ?
Not to mention the possible disruption to our season, it could be catastrophic.
Come on Mr Lenagan, you are a 'fan' - do it for us loyal fans .. we want to see this live, not on Skysports.

But if it's a scenario of you play it in Aus or not at all, which would you rather?

Aus.
But why would that be the case ?
I didnt see Leeds or Stains travelling over there when they were SL champions.
