MoS in a clean sweep night for Wigan.
Rememeber those early days of his when we had the lunatic in charge and all the team were barracked?...how times have changed for this brilliantly talented but totally unassuming bloke. Suppose thats another reason to thank Nobby for laying our foundations, for it was he who rebuilt Pats confidence.

So he's player of the year, not man of steel. At least, not what man of steel used to be understood as. We need to change the award to player of the year IMO. That would be fair enough for Pat Richards as clearly he has been outstanding as a player. |

So what was James Roby then? He plays half a game and gets the award, rather than Barrett carrying us that year by himself. |

Call it what you will but since week 1 Richards has dominated every category pretty much! He has not put a foot wrong in both attack and defence and as far as I am concerned that makes him the Man of Steel. I always took it that the Man of Steel was like the MVP awards in America which I think most will agree that Richards is the Most Valuable Player this year! |
