The last thing I'd want to do is add Phelps to a side that's defending badly. I'd have probably had him in at centre instead of Marsh yesterday but definitely wouldn't want him at FB or wing, doesn't tackle well enough for full back and would be beaten by the high ball on the wing. He's a stand off/centre, but not good enough to get a game for us in either position next week.

Can you afford to give up a bench spot for a guy just playing for 20 minutes

I think so yes just about but it would rule Feka out completely as we would have to go with one bench prop. Either Prescott or O'Carroll dependant on who Madge thinks can last the longest. It is a risk but one worth taking in the long run as Amos at the start of this year was outstanding by far the standout player of the league, so nuture him back in rather then chuck him in at the deep end may benifit long term and help decrease the risk of further injury. Another option would be to stick him out on the wing were he will be less involved and will be able to feel his way back into the swing of things.

Roberts from the bench is the way to go imo. A couple of 15 minute spells or last half an hour when they are tiring would be good for him. He will benefit more from this than a game in the u20s.

I really don't think playing Roberts for 20 minutes would be the way to go, it's not worth the extra pressure on the pack. Also, what's the reason for him playing 20 minutes? If they're worried about him hurting his leg again then any amount of time is a risk, and if they're worried about his stamina then they should leave him out an extra week to get back in shape.

Celtics defence on boots and all the tries looks soo bad in the game just gone (obviosly as they got battered 54-10) but some of the defence was like school boy stuff

and IF...

they are going to perform like that again, which is unlikely as Nobby will want to turn his old team over this weekend, playing Mossy off the bench could well be a good idea providing it will not cause any reprocussions as he isnt fully ready yet - but to have him back in the team will be a great lift especially in time for Leeds in the cup.

Aye the Crusaders defence was pretty amateur against Les Cats too, can't believe they scaped a win there, terrible advert for the game.

Heard Lockers might be rested for this one due to Leeds next week. Might not be the case though as Prescott is carrying a knock and Mossop has fractured his shoulder.

Well folks are picking feka, so yeah as thats all he is still doing. Cant see him being here next year.

They wont rush amos back, put gleason back in the centres and leave the back line as it is everyone deserves to keep their place for me.

Same as for me, except gleeson for marsh as that side of the pitch looked a bit edgy at times, didnt look strong enough in defence with the 2 youngsters, need a bit of experience to keep it together.

Depending on Gleeson's attitude, I'd agree, although I that's a bit unfair on Marsh - I think the Huddersfield left side attack deserves a lot of credit - Dodgy's not SL leading try scorer for no reason. Marsh did a lot of good work in defence that didn't show up on the highlights...and it's only his second game, to be fair to the lad.

If Roberts is to come back this week then I'd prefer him to start on the wing.

Richards,
Roberts, Gleeson, Carmont, Pryce,
Sam T, Leuluai,
Fielden, McIlorum, Coley,
Bailey, Joel T.
Lockers,

Feka, Farrell, Riddell, O'Carroll.

That squad should more than good enough to see off the Crusaders.
I'd go with those six backs for some weeks and let Amos go to 1 during a game with Pat to 5 and Karl P to 2. If they can keep fit and their form that's the best set of backs and half backs in the League.
