Wakefield picked up a lot of injuries from their first pre-season match.
I wonder if it just a pre-caution. But it will most likely be to make mass substitutions easier. Bilko said on the rlfans feed on twitter than both teams made something like 6 changes during the first break. Not easier to do in general play. I guess that is the reason why.

Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? They've recruited well and are a very well coached side. A decent team they've put together considering (you would imagine) limited transfer funds. Very hard to beat on their on patch too.
Not to mention they have played one more friendly than us and their season starts a week earlier as well. Big game for them and they must be looking to win this one.
For a 'blow the cobwebs away' game I don't think we're doing too bad. |

The result's not that important for me. Don't get me wrong I'd much rather we win than lose but it doesn't count towards anything and the lads will be a lot better off for a good hitout against a team who already have a game under their belts. I'm just hoping we don't pick any injuries up. That's far more important than the final score
