I take it you found it frustrating that Sinfield didn't take a grip of the game as I would expect him to do, we are lacking a loose forward to take this leader role since Hanley retired from the GB squad at the moment I don't see anybody yet to replace Sinfield

| Sinfield again looked a bad of nerves at international level and didn't stamp his authority on a game bar a 10 minute spell just after halftime.
He like many others will have to step their games up miles of we're not to be totally embarrassed next week. He dithers on the ball too long at this level and i really worry about his safety next week.
He needs to start being more decisive in his decision making.

| both are hard working loose forwards. however sinfield puts in 40 pitter patter tackles a game but sean puts in tackles that hurt. Sinfield has a better kicking game but we need a loose that will stick it to the aussies. the fact we need a loose to compensate for the kicking game of our halves shows what a poor state the british game is in.

You've hit the nail on the head with the last sentence, it's the reason why DJ is a better first choice lock than Gallen for Aus as Lockyer and Thurston are doing their job properly, and even then they still have Cam Smith to contribute as well.
Infact it's a huge general difference in the game over there and here. Hookers add the extra kicking on the whole, whereas so many of ours are scooters

Just because its a different team with a different stle of play. For a starter most of the things I named where leadership qualitys, making decisions in games etc. Hopefully out best 6 and 7 in the country should be able to make these desicions, while a club may struggle, because they can't pick the "elite" players.
Secondly its a different style of game for me. I'd rather have a loose than hits a hole, tackles hard and can also throw that pass when he needs too. The first two arn't Sinfields best qualities.

| Sinfield will be involved because Smith will want a kicker.
TBH he was poor, but he isn't the problem. There are several others ahead of him in the need to be dropped queue.

| I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here but I think the problem with Sinfield at International level might not be him, but the attitude of the team around him towards him.
At Leeds he is the captain and has the full backing and respect of his team mates, allowing him to play the style of Rugby that he does (after all Leeds half backs don't exactly have a kicking game). But at international level he is just a everyday player who may or may not have the teams full backing and respect after all Leeds aren't the most liked team amongst SL.
Just one point was in the warm up the camera's where on him the team did 3 passing drills and didn't give the ball to him once, and him seemed to say FFS pass me the ball, (and that was in the warm up. )

But to be fair, both Sinfield and McGuires kicking game was very poor last night, wasn't it?
We also had a scrum half in there that was supposed to "guide us around the park"
I bet Gregory, Edwards and Hanley were sat shaking their heads in shock at to how poor a midfield trio (as a team) were.

Maguire was shocking
To say Graham needs to look at himself is laughable he looked more dangerous with ball in hand than any of the so-called half backs. and he had good go forward

Must have been at the other end of the pitch to me, went straight down every time I saw him take it in. The only time I noticed him looking dangrerous was when he ran a great line but over ran the pass, spilling the ball as a result, would have scored for sure if he'd timed it better. Having said that he's a good player on the back of a good season so I wouldn't drop him.
