Quote: BigFeka "Loved the bulls fan, as I was coming out the ground, telling all his mates how he hated Sam and how he was a disgrace in getting Raynor sent off. He went a bit quiet when I asked him if he thought getting knocked out was disgraceful!! I despair at the one eyed way some fans watch a game'"

Is this a thread about the dirty play from a thug or a dick measuring contest with the wire trolls? Unfortunately it looks like the later, again.

The more I watch it the more I think Raynor went in to knock the ball out of Sams grip but through crap reflexes and poor ability failed miserabily on both counts. He got sent off,he'll get a 2 or 3 game ban and Sam will be right for next week, move on. As for the scouse overspill scum from wireland let them enjoy their childish fun at a young lads pain, it just enforces the point that they are the scum of rugby league, its what I expect. He who laughs last, laughs longest.

Quote: TheElectricGlidingWarrior "We also just snuck past Hull FC... but then, you lost against them, didn't you? Or have you convinced yourself that you are unbeaten this season? You've surely not forgotten Huddersfield, have you? You know, that team we beat who beat you? In fact, you've lost twice as many games as us this season haven't you? And for the record, would you say you "hammered" KR, or "snuck" a win?

Funny isn't it, how you said you didn't want a dick measuring contest but have gone on to do exactly that, telling us all about your wins and how we snuck a victory against a team you hammered. Did you honestly think that didn't apply to Wire aswell?

you say it like it wasn't in reply to something you started. I replied to your post telling you not to dick measure, and then you claimed i had been by telling you not to be. Yes, we have lost a few games this year, but in my eyes the only match that matters in terms of we are better than you is the game between us both, and you know how that went don't you. You probably had a good view from your tv like you did today.

No i have an opinion, and that seems to have frustrated you, along with the fact that i had done what you asked of me about 3 pages before you slagged me off for not doing it, so you're getting all uppity and losing your cool because you looked like a tit.

Not from me, i came on to chat about the incident and people would rather have a go because i'm from the warrington board. No wonder people hate coming on here.

Just watched the game and before making my comment I would make two points
1 I'm pretty much neutral in that I prefer watching Wigan to Bradford but I would rather meet Bradford in the next round
2 I think Raynor definitely deserved sending off
My main point is that as far as the reaction Tomkins received from the Bradford fans he deserved everything he got. Anyone who has heard the story of the little boy who cried wolf should be able to see the point. I don't doubt that in this instance he was seriously hurt but I (and presumably anyone who watches RL regularly) have seen him go down as if he's been shot so often that it's impossible to tell the difference without the benefit of TV replays. I have said before that he has the potential to be one of the greats but until he learns to play the game fairly he never will be and as long as he continues to cheat - and that's what it is he will never have any respect beyond the DW

Nobody deserves to get knocked cold because they 'cheat' - all players do it in every game at some point or other. If Tomkins 'cheats' and doesn't get caught then sobeit. He still deserves protection from thuggery. I'm in agreement with Nathan Brown to a degree - not about retribution but for greater protection for playmakers generally.

I don't have a huge issue with fans at a game booing an opponent immediately after an incident, even if they are prone, as there's a lot of heat of the moment emotion at games. I would be appalled if booing etc continues after its clear to everyone that the player is/could be seriously hurt (e.g. if a stretcher comes out). The worst behaviour is being glad of opponents injuries/hoping to see someone get hurt 'in cold blood'. That is pathetic.

As an aside, if a player gets KO'd (as in actually unconscious, even if for a few seconds), are they allowed back on the field in the same game? FWIW I don't think they should be, regardless of how clear headed they may appear.

It was amusing that the Bradford fans felt Raynor deserved applause when he left the field. God knows why. I'd be fuming if that was a Wigan player.

I agree with you on your last point though. Tbh, you'd hope the medical staff could judge whether they are fit or not to play again.

Thing is he "cries wolf" by pretending to have someone elses arm or whatever stuck in pointing out that they were trying to steal the ball illegally! He does not pretend to be knocked out and how you could suggest this is ridiculous he gets hit high and late all the time and hes usually up and to the ball quicker than the guy who hits him to see him stay down like that is only proof that he was truly injured he does not cry wolf. Well certainly I've never seen it.
