Sorry, what I should have said is that the company is over £5million insolvent with liabilities due without one year of nearly £8m.

No they are a Rugby League club. They were never the same company as the union team although were under common ownership for a few years. Caddick disposed of the union team several years ago and they no longer rent Headingley. |

Wigan are technically insolvent in the accounting sense but that's different from actually being unable to pay their debts. |

Didn't realise they had so many issues. Relegated, went bust, changed their name again. They'd fit in in our code. |

The union club was sold then taken back and then sold again. It's always been a heavily loss making affair, even when they were in the union top flight.
They always kept the businesses strictly separate for various practical reasons. |
